  1. I believe the floor may be rhino liner. The walls and ceiling are diamondplate, stainless sheet or high impact plastic. The seats are all an extremely high strength ballistic nylon. No more vinyl. We learned that lesson with our 1989 pumper (that this truck is replacing.)
  2. Update 7/6/15 Work continues. Interior of the cab being fit-out. Pump controls and accessories being installed. Body wiring harnesses being installed. Should be moving into the paint shop by next week to paint the body, All photos courtesy of Ferrara Fire Apparatus, Inc.
  3. Ohhhhhh VINNY!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Bob Gabrick has written extensively on Clines
  5. Ok, so it's done. Now we need a gigantic still to drop off at OD's house. Then we'll need slpwlkr or Mack mhe9 or one of the other usual suspects to head out to gearhead's place and pick up a few tons of cherries.......Everyone pitch in a few bucks for raw materials, make checks payable to "OtherDog's Bar/Grill & Brass Pole-a-Torium." Hey.....I just had another screwed up....stupid....moronic thought..dumbass idea.....no I mean wonderful proposal........We could make cherry wine.....Get the winfall wimmin to stomp the cherries in their bare feet in a big teak vat!!! We could sell tickets. Farmer52 would pay a premium for front-row seats for a redhead stomping on cherries while she was wearing hose......
  6. I assume they are, but ya never know.....!!
  7. In need of a passenger side window or a glass template for a 48 L Model firetruck. Any leads appreciated.
  8. Lads: Our neighboring fire company has a 1948 "L" Model Firetruck with a 707, they are in need of an alternator bracket. It was originally equipped with a DC generator, but sometime in the 60's it was converted over to a 55 amp Leece-Neville. The bracket that was originally on the generator was modified in-house. The alternator was recently rebuilt and it was discovered that this in-house modified bracket was causing the whole thing to be out-of-true and they desire a factory bracket for a 707 with a L-N alternator. It has a dual pulley with an OD of 3" and runs two belts that are either 7/8" or 1" width. The pivot of the main mount is 3". Anyone have something like this laying around or could point me in the right direction???? Also seeking a passenger side window or a glass template.
  9. I'm not as dumb as I look.
  10. Hmmmmmmm.....Otherdog has pretty good luck stillin' hot sauce outta peppers........Maybe he could cook us up a batch of BMT Cherry Moonshine????
  11. You dumbasses. Those are left-handed smoke shifters.
  12. I have tried to find the pictures of the stack with the rain clapper on the 4 cylinder gasser he had a while back but I must have cleaned them off my phone.
  13. Yes I am also intrigued......more info please
  14. With a distinct taste of weinkraut
  15. No but it's very efficient at smoking bratwurst, knockwurst, etc.
  16. 6/26/2015 Progress continues. All photos courtesy of Ferrara Fire Apparatus
  17. Oh my god.....I can't even begin to fathom what my father would have done to me, but I guarantee it would have started with the belt coming off his waist.
  18. Yes, this is our first purchase from this manufacturer. Body is extruded aluminum.
  19. 6/24/2015: Progress continues on the body, pump and tank.
  20. A United States Air Force SR-71 Blackbird Reconnosiance Reconnisance Reconissance spy plane that I had re-commissioned for this mission, captured this secret image from 61,000 feet while doing Mach 3.2
  21. For those of you on the Fazebooks, you may recall that a few months back I posted a picture of a rice burner with an exhaust coming out the back, that angled up 45 degrees, with a rain clapper at the tip.........This is the same rocket scientist. Although I am beginning to think that maybe now he has expanded into Microbiotic Chemistry in addition to his Doctorate in Astrophysics Lemme see if I can score a pic of the KrautWagon when he aint looking........
  22. My new neighbor (moved in 2 years ago....) has the IQ of a turnip. He and his friends all seem to fancy themselves as some kind of diesel experten. The kind of guys that have vertical stacks on their pickup trucks.......Had a fairly nice Ram that he melted the glass and the cab of because the dumbass never ran it high enough so when he would drive along the exhaust would impinge on the cab......Then he had a Ford stakebody that he blew up one night over-revving....I was sitting on my deck watching the show, and even said to the wife "That asshole will be lucky if he doesn't throw a rod or something....." Sure as shit 5 minutes later he sucked the turbo.........Well, a few more oil-burning vehicles have come and gone since then......But now.....Now I have witnessed a new, all-time low in Low-IQ Stupidity.......This asshole actually bought an older Mercedes 4-door oil burner, cut a hole in the hood, and ran a 4" stack about 3" out the hood. Wow. I can't wait until dipshit melts the windshield..........
  23. Do you have a Sam's Club around you somewhere? I have always had pretty decent luck when I buy their "Boston Style" cut beest ribs.
  24. By the way guys, BROCKY stopped me just as I was driving out of the park to leave. He missed the picture at 12, and was looking for guys from the forum but I think he said that he didn't really recognize anyone while walking around, but he saw me driving the FWD and came running over to shake my hand. But he was present and accounted for!!!!
