  1. Doug Maney reports that the usual Thursday night gathering to ogle the hot waitresses I mean support the ladies working their way through Nun School will most likely happen again this year.
  2. Mike I am toying around with the idea of tenting it overnight Fri-Sat with Large.
  3. Yes. When I worked in the trailer shop at Jevic (many, many moons ago.....) I cannot remember exactly what the circumstances were....But we had a guy working on a bogey under a Great Dane and a bag let go, caused a pretty good amount of trauma to his face and jaw. At the time I was in EMT school, and was the only one who had any idea of what to do. I jumped right in and held (clean) shop towels to his face/jaw holding them together. I had to turn him on his side or else he would have been gagging and swallowing blood. I was on my own for the better part of 5-10 minutes until the Medics got there. 2 weeks later, all shop personnel got 4 hours of basic first aid. He's still alive to this day, with some muscle issues in his face/jaw and eye problems.
  4. Just saw a Buster Brown running a KW.....And a tandem screw, at that......AND it had the KW symbol on the hood......Was not an Independent Contractor or one of those white tractors, either....This was an honest to goodness, UPS BROWN painted/UPS Logo truck. Was this a buy off the shelf? Are they experimenting with KW's????
  5. Gregg.....I have a big antique truck crowd on facebook, and am also a member of (and also moderator for) a bunch of antique truck groups. With your permission, I'd like to share your story and photos. There are many folks out there who just don't realize how dangerous tire work can be. I will not identify you if you don't want me to. If you are OK with it, please have Vicki facebook message me the photos and I will write a brief story and get the word out. I hope you are healing well. -Yardo
  6. "YARDO" Often imitated, NEVER duplicated.
  7. Updated photos 5/26/2015: The chassis is essentially complete and has been moved over to the body fabrication facility. Note that the front bumper has been coated with the rhino-liner like spray on material, in black. It looks pretty good, I hope the stuff is as tough as they say it is.

I'm glad you are relatively OK.......She says you are hell bent on going to York......Why don't you stay home and R & R man??? Macungie is less than a month away!!! Like I said.....Anything!!! I'm right down 33 from you guys!!! -Yardo
  10. Slpwlkr, what say you?
  11. I don't have time to stand out on the street corner, I'm in the kitchen of the BMT Truckstop constantly feeding you'ze guys that freeload I mean stop by all the time.
  12. Uh huh.....I'll believe it when it happens........
  13. If she's anything like me when I was 7 years old in my father's F model, she'll be in the bunk by 0445.
  14. Love those Matlack R's and the Brockway. Other pics aint bad either! Thanks for posting!
  15. I HATE YOU!!!!!!!!!! Just kidding. I was brought up slinging chains for my old man on weekends and in the summer when he was not trucking, he was operating a Holmes 750 on a GMC chassis for the local guy who had the municipal wreck account. Now you have a wrecker to go with the roll back.....That's horrible, my heart bleeds for you....LOL
  16. Woops. Too late. I'll mail your check back to you that you mailed to me that I mailed to you.
  17. Where the fook are the pictures? What a rip-off. I want my money back!
  18. I hate it when that happens....
  19. The front bumper (which will have a 100' trash line/car fire line) will also be coated with the material. They will also color the liquid to the same color as your paint if you want....for a substantial upcharge.......I cannot remember for the life of me if we opted to color it or keep it black though.
  20. May 20, 2015. Work progresses. Most of the major cab work is done. For you Fire Department Spec-Writing guys, note the back of the cab- we spec'd a Rhino-Liner type material to be sprayed on. No one ever sees the back of the cab, so why paint it, and why waste money on diamondplate? Some neighbors of ours did it three years ago on their new pumper and they love it, so we stole borrowed the idea. The discharge valves and foam system is being installed on/around the pump. The Body Plant is 75% done cutting the body panels, and assembly is scheduled to begin on Tuesday 5/26.
  21. I actually like LED's from a maintenance and amp draw standpoint. However they just dont look right in a mars light. You can still get halogen lamps in them though.
  22. Yes and like the dumbass propeller lights, they have LED's
  23. May 15, 2015. The cab has been dropped onto the chassis.
  24. Mars lights much better. Had three of em on our 78 Hahn. Those and the Q cleared traffic in front of it like Moses parting the red sea.
  25. If it doesn't have a Q, it's an overgrown cop car. (and those E-Q's don't count.)
