  1. What? I'm innocent I tell ya......I'm just trying to provide needed lodging to BMT members and help you and some of the other guys make some extra coin on the side....????
  2. Ok. Leversole has "Human Resources." Our staffing is beginning to exceed the allotted budget. We will have to raise the price per patron to 113.73 per night.
  3. Actually I was thinking you should be the maitre d'........Do you have a black tux? And we're gonna need a concierge.....That's Green Dash.
  4. I've been wanting to get the FWD out for a ride but with all the salt on the roads, I don't dare. I should however at least light her off tomorrow and let her run for a half hour or so.
  5. Pole dancing trailer......griil...cook own food......I have an idea.... 1. Ken supplies the trailer, pole, grill and a couple of fully stocked poker, craps, blackjack and roulette tables...... 2. I will supply the bacon-wrapped filet mignons and prime rib, and the trimmings and do the cooking........ 3. Otherdog brings the winfall wimmin. We will need the following: a pit boss (gearhead?) a couple of dealers (hatcity, randyp, Freightrain, maddog93) a couple of bouncers (39minimack and slpwlkr) and a bartender or two (JT and superdog.) We will then charge $98.50 per night for anyone to stay, play and eat.
  6. Oh my god there's two of you? I can't handle the pressure................
  7. I'm guessing you got some air in there when you changed out the thermostat, but then again I like engines with dual spark plugs so take what I say with a grain of salt........
  8. Mike Yarnall is a possibility. Maybe the Mack Museum might let a few guys stash their rigs there outdoors (I dunno if they have any indoor space? Maybe Doug Maney would know....And that's another possibility- ? I think he lives out past Macungie towards York somewheres......Maybe he has some space?? What is the height, width and length of the B?
  9. Freighttrain, I'd take you to Dennys instead of McDonalds..............
  10. lets see....103 miles one-way......at 2.5 or 3mpg........uhhhhhhh No. Ain't gonna happen unless gas drops down to .75 a gallon!
  11. Anyone that is going to the ATHS show in York Pa May 27-29 this year.....coming from east or north of Bethlehem Pa (or within a 20 mile radius) that will be taking a flatbed, landoll or whatever......that will have 26' of extra space (weight is 16,500) would you consider stopping in Hellertown Pa (exit 67 of I-78 Hellertown/Bethlehem) and picking up the FWD and dropping back off upon return??? I would of course donate to your fuel fund and perhaps a nice dinner or two???? Anyone? Anyone?
  12. Superdog and Mini Mack have it. As promised, I emailed Harvey Eckert, who corresponded with Don Schumacker (who many of us know to be the Curator of the Mack Museum and the Archivist) some time ago, and kept the response, which Harvey was kind enough to send back to me: Don writes: "The Mack Bulldog ornament was patented in October 1932. It was released as Part Number 4BF26. In December 1937, it was redrawn and the part number changed to 27RU217. This was a chrome-plated zinc die casting. It did not change until December 1941 when the finish was changed to a painted #775R Mack Gray finish. In September 1944, the finish reverted back to chrome-plating. In September 1947, the part number was raised to 217RU217A; the attaching studs were changed to cast-in female thread brass fasteners. The P1 version was chrome-plated. In June 1967, the 14 karat gold-plated P2 was released. In June 1968, the gold plating was replaced with 14 karat gold alloy. In December 1979, the ornament was redesigned to incorporate shorter ears and tail to make it more friendly when using it as the handle to tip the conventional models’ hoods. The part number was raised to 217RU217B and the patent number was changed from 87931 to 1,387,477. The P1 part was again chrome plated while the P2 finish was “gold flash.” Starting in 1966/1967, the original “gold” ornaments signified that a vehicle featured the Mack Maxidyne engine and Maxitorque transmission. All other Mack trucks used the chrome plated ornaments. Starting with the introduction of the CL Model in 1990, CH and CL vehicles with the high-level interior trim package utilized the gold ornaments. Starting in 2007, the gold ornament indicated that a vehicle had an all-Mack powertrain, i.e., Mack engine, Mack transmission, and Mack axles. This is its current usage. Let me know if we can be of further help. Thanks, Don Schumaker
  13. Maybe ask the Stengal guys??? Get in there with a steam cleaner and clean the beejeesus out of the suspension and start taking pictures of any numbers that are cast into the components????
  14. The Mack archives do have the Brockway archives, you would have to contact Don Schumacker at the Mack Museum with your serial number, and I am sure your suspension information would be in the file, however the backlog to archive requests is 6-8 weeks.
  15. Maybe the Virginia Bigfoot, too
  16. I hear them Virginia Polar Bears and Dingos are good eatin......especially with hot sauce!
  17. Bizarro Bandit?
  18. donald.schumaker@consultant.macktrucks.com Send an email to Don. Be advised that there is a 6-8 week backlog, for several reasons- the museum is staffed mainly by volunteers, including the archivists, and their time is limited (not to mention the large amount of requests that they receive.) Also, when you do get a package in the mail- make sure you send a nice donation to the Museum. Yes they are sponsored by Mack Corporate, however their budget is limited and they rely on donations to fill the gap in between.
  19. I have a bunch of Aussie firefighter friends and I know we have a few aussies on here, I can't remember everyone specifically with the exception of mackpaul..... . I have been listening to the Sampson Flat wildfire near Adelaide in SA on broadcastify.com and it is absolutely incredible- 25+ years as a career and volunteer firefighter and I have never heard anything like it before. Your fireys are getting their asses kicked but they are not giving up.....I know theres another big one in Ararat, Victoria about 2 hours south of Melbourne- a buddy of mine who is a career firey, City of Melbourne deployed on a Strike Team down there yesterday. My prayers to you all.
  20. Angelo now you have plenty of time to sniff detroit exhaust the roses.
  21. The forgotten box has been dispatched by the United States Postal Authorities. Predicted delivery is Monday 1/5. All I ask for is the price to ship them to you- $11.70. If it turns out you don't use them, I just ask that you get them to someone who can use them. Regards, The FWD Corporation/Freightliner Handles Division/Hellertown Pa. Field Office
  22. Considering what we paid for that hunk of prime rib, it'll be chicken and pork for a little while.
  23. NO. This is NOT always the case. There are some exceptions, I cannot recall exactly what they were, but there are cases where gold bulldogs are installed on Mutts. My father's Hayward F-Model had a 300 with a 5 speed and an original Rockwell 2-speed rear and had a gold dog. I will email Harvey Eckert and see what exactly the story is and post it here.
  24. By the way, here's the finished product. Only the second time I have ever done a prime rib, the first time was new years eve last year. Both times they came out dead on balls accurately done to perfection. Sometimes I am so good I amaze even myself.
  25. Call me paranoid, but methinks OD is making mockery of another member of BMT who just happened to make a perfect prime rib last night for New Year's Eve Dinner........And posted pix of it on Facebook........then had his pics on FB hijacked and photochopped.......I can neither confirm or deny that this may or may not have been left on my FB with a postmark of Gladys, Va.... Quote: "In all my years, i've never had prime rib before. If you want to mail me a slice, here's a serving suggestion."
