  1. I am ruling out firetruck. I don't see any holes drilled in any sheet metal where sirens, lights, bells, etc would be mounted.
  2. Ken- the 1870's and 1880's?
  3. How do you keep them clean and short?
  4. Had a plumber give me a tip once- If you are in an old house that still has cast iron DWV pipes, and your sink (or whatever else) is running slow......Boil up a big pot of water and pour it down the offending drain. The temp of the water is enough to beat the crap out of a lot of scum/grease/etc. But he was careful to point out not to do it if you have PVC DWV pipes- the 21 degree water will melt glue joints. Oh, he also said "don't chew your fingernails" whatever that means.
  5. Uhhhhh seeing that my backyard is approiximately 1/10th of an acre, my crop maintenance needs are not pressing at this time, so I am inclined to pass on this offer. I will however donate to the fuel costs to whoever purchases it for the purpose of driving it into the nearest ocean.
  6. Make a lotta dust
  7. We had this thing called a Boda Turbo-Lube on a couple of our firetrucks (the ones we have that I wont admit to having green leakers........)
  8. Ohhhhhhhh pepper squeezins!!!!!
  9. What'r the bottles for? Some home made corn squeezins? Potato squeezins?
  10. Pick up the truck for a song and a dance. Rebuild the chassis and driveline, keep the cab for parts and or templates and find another cab to drop on.
  11. FOCK!!!!!! Probably still has a lot of good parts. Tires didn't blow, the heat wasnt too terribly bad.....The body pieces may be good, I dont see any heat warping.......It might be salvageable.....Of course it'll take a little more elbow grease than the previous condition.
  12. You spelled "roont" wrong!
  13. Yes, just flip them over...........LOL!
  14. Now that there is what I call a firetruck.
  15. Knockometer- same thing used by drivers of Detroits to be able to deal with the sound.
  16. www.elightbars.com
  17. The telesqurt? Holy crap I remember when that was delivered brand new!
  18. Thanks everyone, had an "OK" day, had to work- no rest for the weary. Wife got some overtime tonight so we didnt go out or anything, but she said if I play my cards right she might take me to the TK tomorrow night or Friday night and point out one or two nuns that she would bring home for me- if she did that sort of thing as she likes to say........WENCH!!! LOL
  19. We just cleaned off the kitchen table, I don't need straight 40 weight all over it, thanks.
  20. THANG YOU!!!!! THANG YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!
  21. You owe us no explanations Mark. You did what you had to do to help out your friend take care of business. I am glad to hear that you were able to spend a few good days with him and enjoy a meal and drinks together, and that you were there when he passed. He knew that you were there. He may be gone physically but his spirit will live forever in your heart. Godspeed to your friend, and my condolences.
  22. I spent the day doing honeydews. First took the dishwarsher apart and cleaned the filters and ejection pit and pump. Then reassembled it all, ran it twice with a bleach charge and she's as good as new. Then I took out the window air conditioners, blew them out with the air gun and put them away. (my back!) Then cleaned up in the kitchen, loaded a load of dishes into the newly refreshed dishwarsher (which has been broke the last 3 days) and ran them. After I started the warsher I prepped the shicken and marinated it for din din tonight. Oh by the way I was taking care of all four kids while this was going on..........
  23. Who would go and do something like that???
  24. That particular order of cabover freightliners had 18's....Then a few years later the first batch of Freightliner conventionals with the setback steers had the same setup. I think those were the only two orders in the entire history of the company that had 18's.
