You guys are funny. Very funny- you amuse me. Yes like a clown funny. Got home from vacation on Tuesday 7/22 at 7:00pm. First thing I noticed was that someone tripped the claymore inside the garage man door because the door was all blasted to shit kindling wood and there was a boatload of blood stains on the sidewalk so I know one of you schmucks got it...........!!!!! And at 2.5 to 3.0 MPG (and that's based on a S.W.A.G.) I would have hated to foot the bill to get her to the Montana/Washington line and back- that's an awful lot of TK tip money. Mike too bad I was not home, would have had you and the Missus over for dinner. So you were at the guy about 6 houses down from me that has the Great Dane?? The kids love it when they walk him past the house- he drowns them in slobber when he licks them.

Forgot to mention- even SWMBO, who is NOT into any "guy" stuff at all even said that she was highly impressed. That says a LOT!

Had the opportunity to visit the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Triangle, Va, yesterday. (Exit 150 of I-95.) I have to say the place is freaking AWESOME and is possibly the best museum I have ever been in. I highly recommend it to anyone who served in the USMC, or any branch of the US Military or are a Military buff or supporter. Put it on your bucket list. Admission is free and be sure to eat lunch in the recreated Tun Tavern Restaurant on the second floor (not free.) For those of you on my facebook, I posted an album in my pictures.

I concur with kscarbel2. If you can get the parts, they are not terribly difficult to rebuild yourself, however having a bearing press (or access to one) is critical. Any better commercial bearing supplier should be able to measure your bearings and get you new ones.

We make a run down to the Outer Banks of NC 3-4 times a year with 3 (ooops now 4) kids....10 hour ride......Trust me on this: go to Walmart, drop $40 on a portable DVD player. Knowing the serenity that it can bring, I would drop $400 on one....!!!! (oh and also keeping them up as late as possible and then leaving at 1:00am so that they sleep the majority of the trip helps too!!!!)

F-Model cab mount parts?
1958 F.W.D. replied to 1958 F.W.D.'s topic in Exterior, Cab, Accessories and Detailing
Made by Alcoa and very light. Will not cost a lot to ship to you via USPS priority mail. -
My father swears these are cab mount brackets for a Hayward F-Model. (He thinks the Allentown brackets are different but not 100% sure....) Gentlemen's agreement: 1. You yourself use these **OR** give them to someone who can 2. You will not re-sell them for the thousands of dollars they are probably worth or give them to someone who will do the same.... 3. You send me a check for whatever I put into sending them to you for..... and I will give them to you. I want for a fellow BMT'er to have these if you can truly use them. Reach out to me if interested.

Carl this will be the first year in about 15 years that I am not going. For those of you who have never been, for any antique firetruck enthusiast this is the World Series, Super Bowl and Stanley Cup Finals of firetruck musters all rolled into one.
