  7. I think so JoeH, from what was explained to me this has been going on since the beginning of time If we think about even 500 years ago fires would of burnt uncontrolled from one end of North America to the other, the same in Australia and no doubt Africa and South America Volcanoes have erupted and spewed more into the atmosphere in one day than man has in the last couple of hundred years Huge floods that spread many miles wide (up to 30 miles and behond) were a big part of a large area of inland Australia We really have no idea using the tiny snap shot of records we have I often think of WW2 and the mind boggling quantities of fuel used, whole cities burnt to the ground, the Coral Sea was polluted with out any thought and yet on the grand scheme of things it made no difference at all It feels to me that the sun is getting more intense than ever before, but that could be me just getting older Paul
  8. There has been plenty done over the years, some look good some not so good (my opinion only) Have a bit of a search on the forum and you will start to find what you and dont like Paul
  9. I dunno if the climate is really changing or not, and I believe no one does and we wont know until the future Scientific research requires funding and the best way to get funding is to create a problem and the the funding is free flowing to solve that problem So science has a vested interest in having problems that cant really be found, solved or cured So I feel it pays to keep that in mind when we think about climate change Some years ago I went and had look thru A.I.M.S. Australian Institute of Marine Science as they had a open day They had core samples from the Great Barrier reef and they can tell by the sediment layers how big the wet seasons are in the tropics The scientists told us that Australia has been a lot drier than we have ever seen, it once went for over 50 years without a large enough wey season for any sediment to reach the reef It also has been at times a lot wetter than we have ever seen So I'm guessing we can't really tell if the climate is getting worse or better from the short history that we have since settlement Paul
  10. My new to me triaxle tipper finally arrived from QLD after waiting 6 or more weeks Would normally collect myself but Covid is making things more challenging McGrath chassis tipper, I had been searching for one for some time now

  13. That would be a yes to driving it like a 5 speed Or at the very least a six speed Will have to give it plenty of time for the revs to drop off but is quite doable Paul
  14. I was speaking to my brother about those Ultraliner's a few months back A very unusual truck for sure, was the step in the chassis that I have read about pressed in or was it joined Really interesting stuff Paul
