  9. Scares the heck out of me as well The clowns running Australia have changed the laws for not only bank bail puts but also for bank bail ins The banks can sieze any and all assets that they have a interest in and borrow against your own equity in your own house or car or what ever They can sieze your deposits They can do all of this to keep them selves afloat with out even telling us And what about 8f the interest rates fall bellow zero we will be paying them to store our own money Its a flipping mess and is gunna make the crappy times of GFC or 80's look like childs play if this goes pare shaped Paul

  13. Dunno about the video, sitting at airport waiting to catch the kero kite to plant a mate and it would be rude to watch it in the airport But that last line I feel is pretty much spot on The future will only tell us how bad it was The media are out of control here as no doubt they are in the rest of the world The sun will come up tomorrow no matter what we do And Coranavirus is the proper for the common cold apparently And there's a covid number of your choice for every year for decades Covid 19 is 2019's version of man flu People need to get a grip Thats all Paul

  15. Do we worry about a whole heap of crap these days or what Came across this on Facelessbook Tough old blokes who despite what the ungrateful sods of today bitch about did a hell of a job and changed not only the U.S. future forever but the whole worlds future for the better I dunno if you need Facebookor not view it, someone much smarter than me will have the answer I wonder what these old fellas would think of America today compared to the one they fought to create No doubt things like the space race and our fast l planes etc would impress them, not so sure about the girls blouses running yours and my country into the ground I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did and as John Laws would say "keep the dream alive" https://www.facebook.com/1534320662/posts/10216980552296065/?sfnsn=mo&s=100009061418031&vh=e Paul

  19. In Australia before the days of luxurious power steering and the like trucks had either a lesser or greater castor angle which caused you to chase the wheel at speed down the high Often this is referred to as taching, like sailing a yacht This is easily correct by returning the caster to the correct angle with wedges between the axle and the springs The purpose of the incorrect castor angle was it made it much easier to steer at low speed as in parking ot tight manoeuvring Im guessing this was a common practice back in tbe day across the world Im also guessing the castor angle was decreased but a proper wheel alignment place should be able to give you correct castor or no doubt google can help Then off to your local hardware store and buy a spirit level doodah that can measure angles and see what you come up with Paul
  20. As far as I know phasing of drive shafts is only needed when more than one drive shaft is used Each shaft generally is not lined up, the yokes on each shaft must be lined up but the yokes shouldnt be lined up between shafts As in the yokes should be not in a straight line down a drive shaft Usually starting from the gear box end each is set one spline tooth lagging the shaft in front However this not always needed . Unsure why and or whats differrent but I think it may have to do if the shafts are balanced as a whole or separately I doubt there is many places that can balance a combination shaft 25 feet long I also think the phasing may have to do with one shaft interfering or affecting the other I do not know this and only am guessing Paul
  21. No mention of anything like that I know of Superliners on triple road train work grossing over a 100 ton ever day of their working lives 44's , 12 speed ,440 and 500 E9's that have done over a million miles or 1.6 million km with out a spanner on the gear box or diffs The E9 motors never had the longevity of a E6, dont get me wrong they are a good motor just not as good as a E6 in my opinion Back to figures above for the box and diffs, I feel they are pretty impressive figures, to put that weight into USA truck talk thats over 250,000 pounds They are huge figures, Mack sure new how to build gear back then Paul
  22. Sounds like you just volunteered to make 2021's calender Should be plenty of people to volunteer photos of their pride and joy or who knows maybe even someone elses pride and joy We could have to nominate a photo that isnt our own and you get to choose 12 or maybe 14 if we include front and back covers Paul
