  2. So it is air shift into deep reduction I would start there I would make sure air is going were its meant to when its meant to I would also make sure the bolt inside lid is still tigh and the air ram is working good and not leaking air Paul
  3. Sounds like the deep reduction range inter lock is getting stuck Is it air shift for deep reduction or air split for deep reduction? Paul
  4. I do not believe split rims are anywhere near as dangerous as people are making out They are still fairly common in Australia and I have never had any dramas getting them fixed and or fixing them my self You only need a big set of tyre levers and a good size hammer once the bead is broken You should always be careful airing them up until the locking ring is fully seated Once the tyre starts to move up on the locking ring seating against it you should continue to tap it in with a hammer to make sure it is fully locked in A lot of tyre places I use ( all of them ) dont even use the cage even though there is one there Common sense clean rims etc make it really simple I rarely use split rims these days, I only have them on the float I would change to tubless if you can as you will have less flats and they are better riding and last a lot lot longer Paul
  5. And how did the maiden voyage go ?? Paul

  9. No mate, I'm pretty sure the air regulator number 13 drops the pressure Should be around 50 - 60 psi Paul
  10. Well that's amazing Interesting enough to me(maybe not to anyone else though) Studies have shown just like cholesterol has a good and a bad type so does methane produced by live stock Cattle fed soley on pasture grazing produce the good methane were as cattle that are on high input grain fed diets produce the bad methanes This is believed to be because of the natrual microbes and enzymes in the soils the cattle eat when grazing Dunno how true any of this is but none the less interesting to this farmer Paul
  11. Wow very cool jiggers, both of them Do you blokes call 50 Ford a "Single Spinner" Thats we call them in Australia Paul

  16. Clearance light switch out here turns outer bullet clearance lights on each side as well as the clearance lights on the mirrors Dont think the US has clearance lights on mirrors like in Australia ( but could be wrong there) Paul

  19. Fantastic stuff I wonder did Ford in the US offer custom built trucks to this degree ?? I Lindsay Bros (you can see one of there LTL's in this clip) had Aeromax trucks specially built with combination sleeper and cabs to save a few inches so they could be used on B double work Paul
  20. I cant see why not, probably wrong but if the windrow is big enough and even enough I cant see why not Paul
  21. Nah mate, but the next video series has sort of started some months ago Just gotta get some more done before publishing Have been a tad busy The motor is in my mates Landcruiser and he is the fella that painted Mrs Mack Paul
  22. I think something people dont realize today is that when all these trucks were getting used everyday for a living this was rarely a problem as the trucks rarely stopped for longer than 8 hours, so as long as the air held over night all was good On the odd occasion I have gone to start the truck after it has sat for a month or so during the wet season and it held air and other times they only just have enough air left over night to swing into action I have often wondered why there is no gauge to monitor the air tank, that way you could see if a problem was devolping and if your parked up for a while you can start the truck to recharge the tank if needed I think maybe the reason the start tank fills last is because before the days of maxi brakes on trailers it can be very important to get the air up if get stuck on a steep hill Paul
  23. Gudday and welcome Paul
