I doubt bblind spots are a drama as I reckon the mirrors on a R model cause more of a blind spot The drivers side air cleaner you can hardly see from inside and the passenger only makes it a little worse around the pillar Paul

then had to put Mrs Mack up on blocks because the grease plate is higher on the dolly then Mrs Mack and the float has no wind down legs So Mrs Mack was up on blocks as we say Next we head off First stop Belyando Crossing Sorry only photo of Mrs Mack hooked up I think, pretty piss poor Then onto NSW or as QLD people call it Mexico (south of the border)
-
Well back in sweaty north QLD again Some photos of Mrs Macks trip south had a seal to fix before heading off came with giant speedy sleeve so chucked it in but not the new seal as the old one was only a few thousand km's old and it looked fine Guess what it leaked from one end of this wide brown land to the other LOL

Vlad I just backed of the pedal a fare bit and let her crawl along gently because if I stopped I would have been in a real mess Something happened like this one day coming into Emerald when Mrs Mack jumped out of high range first with 90 ton plus gross and I just lifted off in deep reduction at not much more than a idle and we still tore bitumen up Also broke a bolt out of the carrier bearing support that time End of the day even with only 320 HP damage happens pretty easy Took more photos but having trouble loading them up

So we climb to the top of the hill pull up hitch a ride back in ute Turns out the computer had sweated during the climb (guessing the computer got to hot) Anyway never gunna be a problem for Mrs Mack Some more useless info crossed the Hay plains and it's reported to be the flattest spot on earth and is the only spot that you can see the curvature of the earth whilst standing on the earth

so there was a roadtrain Jack knifed on the road with trailers and stuff everywhere A over size load is coming down the range so I back off and let him thru first and then into it as best as we can and as we crawl past on the wrong side of the double white lines because if. I stopped I would never lift off As I pass I can see old mate is trying lift off as and is just wheel spinning on the bitumen and smoke is coming off the drive tyres big time

So anyway off I go and start down the road and as I near this area some hours later I get into a fairly steep climb for some km until it levels out a bit and I think "well that was no drama" Then as I round a corner signs start slipping by warning me about a real steep climb and how I'm gunna need a low gear in a truck or a bus Now I have never seen signs like this for climbing a hill before, I have seen plenty for dropping down a hill !! So this gets me to thinking this is gunna be steep So I do my normal thing in situations like this get into a nice low gear early on a stick with it till the top So drop her into 1st low range and Mani's this steep but Mrs Mack takes it all in her stride, as we round a corner there's a very unwelcome site stopped on the hill

Well slipped into Victoria a day or so again after slitting the road train up at Barham NSW No issues with over width dramas on Road Trains in NSW or running a bit late into the dark, so maybe I'm lucky or maybe common sense and good manners gets you a lot further than people think So no need to mail any hack saw blades at this stage lol So took a different route to any other time and spent more time in the mountains than normal Had one day we drove for almost the full amount if time allowed and only covered not much more than 500km's , up hill and down dale all day Met a bloke at Springsure and he was saying apart from all the climbing up and down hills it's not a bad run He also mentioned that between Rollston and Injune about a climb that's 10% and you climb for gently for 20 km leading up to the real steep bit but once your over that all is good

I get a huge amount of enjoyment looking at my families history in photos and books slides etc So my videos are made so that one day my maybe my son or grand kids may get a kick out of watching the Princess and I and how our lives went I get nothing out of them except knowing some one else maybe might learn and or get some enjoyment out of them Life's pretty short and some of my family have made the comment that I act the fool but that's ok as long as people are laughing My last Grandma shifted into a nursing home the other day (she is in her 90's) and my brother found my Grandfathers log books from back when he was driving NR Macks carting logs Should be a good read when I get a chance But family history I like the most and I guess it's my way of recording mine dunno if I answered the question or not Seeya Paul

Well fuck me swinging this will be my last post for a while as no doubt I'm going to jail I guess the difference is while some are out reading the rule book and saying alsorts of what I should or shouldn't be doing I have done it Then again I'm old fashioned and out of date and rely on common sense that thing that ain't real common no more Anyway to many fun police here now And will someone please mail me a hacksaw blade seeya Paul

Dunno Seed I have run over size loads on road trains in NSW and QLD and never had a drama, but I have always been told you cant run over size on a B double Maybe I miss heard but no one has ever stopped me and told me otherwise Im about to head thru NSW with a over size load again on a road train so I hope the law man isnt watching Paul

Ok that stuff has never made it out to Australia I stopped using any of this type of stuff because someone had used it on a gear box and when it ooozed out inside the box it traveled thru out the box blocked oil galleries and stuck in the female halves of the sliding dogs Anyway long and the short of it is I changed to a Loctite product a purple flange sealant and we have never had another issue Making videos is a lot harder than most people think, or at least I find it is but just keep on plugging away at it There's a bloke from Canada that has been making videos for a few years and it took him a fare amount of time to get many views and I think he has 40,000 subscribers now just keep plugging away at it and you may be surprised were it ends up Paul

that gizmo for the permatex tube to squeeze it in single handed looks like just the the thing and would be much easier than a calking gun I use Paul

It was another quiet morning in tropical Northern Australia when the rarely mating ritual took place As the brown and cream truck positions itself for the impending insertion of the yellow truck The Yellow beast aligns her self from behind for the mating game to begin and slowly and surly stalks her prey And so ends another successful mating seeya Paul
