  5. I am impressed thats a fair lump of a crawler there Paul
  6. If you had to hand pump the primer and it changed as in the effort required and then it started fine it would lead me to think that you are loosing prime when the trucks not running but I could and most likely wrong as I always say what would I know LOL Paul
  7. looking like its all plumbed in the exhaust department Paul
  8. ok I drew this a while ago should explain it fairly well so excuse my chicken scratch but it should be clear enough The important thing to understand is that the fuel siphons back thru the to the tank when the motor is not running which it is meant to do but and this is were most people dont understand is that the return is just as important as the supply side I had to have it explained to me in great detail before the penny dropped but it really is as simple as I have explained before and the tell tale signs to look for are does it make smoke as soon as the motor winds over if so it has fuel if there is no smoke it has no fuel because it has siphoned out and air has gone in on the return side of it if it has smoke and wont start it is a compression problem Paul
  9. they used them in WA as road train prime movers Timmy B will be able to help Paul
  10. You make a good point there the sad reality is Volvo have us over a barrel we can complain to the cows come home its not what we want but they dont have to change we can vote with our feet and buy something else then that will be the end of the Mack brand So I guess the best we can hope for is Volvo goes ass up and sells the Mack brand to a company that cares and then we start to get what we want again No matter what Volvo think if you make what people dont want no matter how big you are people will only stay loyal for so long before they vote with their feet and then its to late so I hope for everyones sake they wake up before they loose the lot one day and dont think it cant happen it has happened to some huge corporations and countries as well Paul sorry for taking it off topic Tim bloody farmers LOL
  11. ok if it never looses prime when running and is hard to start after sitting for some time it means the leak is in the return line have been down this a few times with different people All other theories we have go out the window and mean nothing it really is this simple if it looses prime when its running it is in the supply side if it looses prime when its stopped it looses prime when the fuel siphons back into the tank which is what its meant to do siphoning back into the tank when not running You should have smoke the instant the motor winds over gotta remember air start Macks only have a few seconds of air and always start when everything is right it should fire instantly let us know what you find Paul
  12. Unlike the US you get a choice of what you want down here and there is a waiting list to buy a new truck from Mack as well HMMM perhaps the Mack US could learn something from that Paul
