  3. I had this picture in a magazine as you can see the magazine put it on a angle and put it over two pages but I have a teenage son who sorted it for me because I had no hope LOL still not real sure on what he done but here is the picture Im sure someone with photoshop can make it even better OH yeah NR Mack Bedford cab at Wollongong but still in the same state NSW as the first one but 700 km south the first one was built at Grafton NSW so I dunno seems like a common modification Paul
  4. theres a story to go with this truck quite a good one I reckon would have to ask the writers permission before posting if anyone wants let me know and I'll see if I can get permission to share the rest now this truck is a NR Mack with a custom cab 6 71 2 valve leaker Paul
  5. Tim the thing a lot of people I dont think under stand is how heavy Australian hard wood is as well Aussie hard wood doesnt float chuck it in the water and it sinks if its Red gum or Box Iron Bark it will sink in seconds so there is quite a lot of weight there We could never float logs like they do in north America on the rivers etc It seems a few of these NR Bedford cabbed Macks were made and this one was made in Grafton NSW I'll pass on any more details as they come to hand seeya Paul
  6. Came across these today on Face book thought that maybe they may be of some interest I wonder was there a mob out here that did the conversion as there seem to have been a few done Paul

  11. I reckon if they still made these with a late diesel motor they would sell them like hot cakes but what would I know Theres some fella in the US that buys the old power wagons and fixes them up and up dates this and that and sells them for $150,000 or some such price and has already sold out 12 months ahead of time go figure make what people want and you can always seem to sell them today they are all keen on telling people what they want HMMMMMMMM wonder how well thats gunna work I need to keep put some money aside http://www.legacypowerwagon.com/ Paul
  12. TJ's stepping up in the world to a classy ride now bet his feeling like a lucky duck Paul
  13. low hydrogen rods buy some crack testing spray stuff if you can clean it up with the grinder spray it on find the end of the crack and drill a hole if you dont drill a hole you most likely never stop the crack !!!! if you cant easily get the spray crack testing stuff once its cleaned up heat it up a little bit and spray diesel it will seep into the cracks and as it evaporates off you can see it coming out of the cracks http://www.dymarkindustries.com/product-range/inks-and-dyes/flawchek-crack-detection I would Vee it out and start again and stitch it back together as described above I wouldnt worry about peening it to much work for me next I would crack test it again I wold then make a big patch to cover the whole area allowing a fair bit more for each end of the crack and fully weld it on thats just me though if it has already cracked it isnt strong enough so a patch is gunna help at least in my mind it would I would have a go at fixing it, it wont cost much and most likely will work fine for many years to come Paul and one last thing Im only a farmer so maybe take no notice of me

  22. do you blokes have Perkins motors over there the old 6354 turbo goes good when tuned up they used to use them on interstate semis out here back in the day they are nice and small or the later Perkins phazer goes good as well small and light Paul
  23. good luck with the sale Steve hope it all goes well for you Paul
  24. I dunno how much difference inter coolers really make a good friend if mine years ago had 320 coolpower and the air cleaner for the tip turbine got completely choked and he never really noticed any difference at the end of the week when he went to clean it out was the first he new he couldnt pull the air cleaner element out !!! When we are hauling sugar and cutting green the normal style intercoolers that sit front of the radiator get blocked between the radiator and intercooler the first you ever notice is when the temp gauge climbs I never noticed any change in performance so I dunno how much all this stuff really matters in the real world Paul
  25. thats the one I reckon its a bargain at that money you would be hard pressed to find something that good anymore so go on fellas dont be shy they tell me its easier to ask for forgiveness than permission LOL so hook spend some coin and live the dream Paul
