  5. Well, the Brisbane Ford truck plant was also Ford's farm machinery plant where they made all sorts of stuff, even Australia's only Ford tractor the 8401 I wonder did Ford have the bonnets made at the same place as Mack did or still does in Brisbane ????? Now Im pretty sure I still have road tests that were done with the new Ford Aero Max they drove them from Melbourne to Perth and back again it might have been Sydney to Perth and they had all the figures if anyone wants I can dig them out whack them up might take a few days to track them down I havent read them for years, Im a Mack man but the figures were pretty good from what I can recall and Ford Australia were quite proud of them Paul

  10. that would be a Super Hippo or at least that is what we called them out here a Hippo was a cab over and a Super Hippo has a bonnet they were used on road trains and heavy haulage in Australia not many left now Paul
  11. I wonder did the Aussie ones have the bonnets or hoods and side skirts all made here as they are different than the above pictured US one or did the US also make the same style as well ?? Paul
  12. Grayhair your right on all accounts but I reckon the US of yesterday just like the Australia of yesterday we went and helped those who needed a hand not because we had to but because it was the right thing to do But yes these people have got to help them selves as well and running away isnt really helping them selves is it So Im far from being politically correct but the biggest wars that Australia and the US have fought in havent being on their own soil and Australia who has jumped into these bigger wars did years before the US to help people in need in a country that didnt ask for our help it was done because it was the right thing to do and we need to remember that because that is what made Australia the great place that it is today our willingness to help people who need help Paul
  13. So did Ford in the US have a Aero Max like the Australian one ???? Paul
  14. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM theres so much I could say but the simple fact is these people should be allowed to live in their own country and the real crime is the fact that our own countries dont have the balls to stand up for the people in these countries to step in and protect them and their rights before these fruit loops get a toe hold it is a crying shame that we as people stand by and let this happen to our fellow man and we should hang our heads in shame that we allow this to go on rant over Paul
  15. Like all of these things there is always more to the story than any of us will no about it will be interesting to see if anyone can find it on ebay or craigs list Paul
