  13. Thanks Vlad I will go home maybe that way and have a look if I get a chance I new it wasnt for the flinstone cab thats for sure do you reckon that double set in the chassis rail is genuine ? And those diffs sure are painted army green Paul

  15. mate in Australia I just went to a hyraulic place and asked for a air regulator set at I think its 60 psi and out it came but first I would check it connect a air gauge up to the side that goes up to the gear knob and see what the air pressure is Paul
  16. well Im out and about at the moment and you will never guess what I came across a Flinstone Mack with a Timken back end like the ones in the picture the sales man fella told me it was built that way But I tend to think he is wrong as they have the truck down as 1970 Timken wasnt making axles then as far as I know and I can see the chassis has been extended and streched and some more crap welded on Im not sure what the chassis is but I dont think its Mack it has a big double set just at the back of the cab I reckon it would have to 8 or 9 inches does anybody no what these numbers mean I dont know whether the front axle is timken or not You can clearly see the chassis change in height between the front and back axle in the photo below And the double set in the chassis at the back of the truck theres so many things that tell me this a made up truck from bits and pieces and not from Mack the axles are army green they are rivited to the chassis which I have never seen a Mack like that and one of this age and that chassis double set did Mack ever build a chassis like that ? heres the add for it http://www.westerntraders87.com/buy/used/truck/mack/r600/prime-mover/86425?returnurl=#.VMI9-dKUfC8 Paul
  17. try Mack Australia ? you might be surprised what they have out here
  18. Mate fantastic I thought someone had been playing silly buggers with the camera it is always good to see people on the correct side of the road Sounds like you had a great trip and saw lots of good stuff and met some great people all went to plan by the sounds of it Paul
  19. I dont know I would have thought air brakes would be ok for fording streams My grand father used to drive a NR Mack with a tmber jinker for years and it had full air brakes FW that truck in the picture looks to have the same Timken front axle and drive axles as my Federal ? maybe its just my funny eyes Paul
  20. Yes I have had my own trouble with thieves in the last week or so and the thing that pi$$es me off the most is I dont have stuff all worth steeling but I have had to work fu$$ing hard for it, why dont these lazy good for nothings do the same, lazy little fu$$ers Paul
  21. Thanks for that Vlad I would have thought someone out there must no what can be changed with what I did get hold of a bloke in the states who reckoned he had the right ones and they were but the ratio matched and try as I may he couldnt under stand that 10.22 was what I had not what I was after so I gave up with him in the end Paul
  22. Fan bloody tastic Have you ever wondered about a trip to this wide brown land I reckon I could use some like for a few weeks Paul
  23. Ron I dont know whether you know this or not but most Aussie F models are FR models because they use an R models chassis only the very first used an F model chassis but that E9 F model looks like the front axle is in the wrong spot and the cab has had a major lift kit just to fit it all in Paul And I would bet vital parts of my body no F models left Mack Australia with a E 9
  24. are you sure the air pressure regulator on the box is set right ?should be only around 50 - 60 psi in there Paul
  25. thanks for that done deal I wonder what I will learn when it turns up Paul
