K-7 trailer hitch for Jo-jo
mrsmackpaul replied to Geoff Weeks's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
For the height adjustment in Australia most people for height challenges like this have this style of the hitch Many different styles to suit many different applications Looks good Geoff Paul -
OD you might be surprised at what a good sign writer can do They can usually take the old sign off doors etc with out damaging the paint to much Then sign write and scroll, pin stripe etc so you can not even tell anything was ever there My son works for a company that does everything from trucks that have been upside down to brandnew trucks getting sign written Somevof the transformations are quite amazing Maybe speak to one of these type of places, or just a sign writer that does old fashioned scroll work A few grand goes a long way

We had a Aussie impersonating a Italian singing a song that went to number one, at a guess the early 80's Let me know if the link doesn't work, and yes it was number one in the charts for weeks Back when we could all laugh at ourselves Good times And just for the sake of it, another classic from around the era when we didn't take ourselves to seriously "The Newcastle song" Happy days Paul -

I have no idea at all Im just thinking maybe the U had more engine in the passenger foot well, maybe ? Or maybe not Paul -
Well I dunno were to chuck this, but this is as good a spot as any The world has really lost plot in recent years, like the pride flag, protesters over Palastine, legalizing drugs, and so on It really is a race to the bottom these days Anyway I read this on Facelessbook tonight and thought, yeah that about somes it up ADVICE FROM A FARMER'S WIFE - Whenever you return a borrowed pie pan, make sure it's got a warm pie in it. - Invite lots of folks to supper. You can always add water to the soup. - There's no such thing as a woman's work on a farm. There's just work. - Make home a happy place for the children. Everybody returns to their happy place. - Always keep a small light on in the kitchen window at night. - If your man gets his truck stuck in the field, don't go in after him. Throw him a rope and pull him out with the tractor. - It's a whole lot easier to get breakfast from a chicken than a pig. - It's easy to clean an empty house, but hard to live in one. - All children spill milk. Learn to smile and wipe it up. Homemade's always better'n store bought. - A tongue's like a knife. The sharper it is the deeper it cuts. - A good neighbor always knows when to visit and when to leave. - A city dog wants to run out the door, but a country dog stays on the porch 'cause he's not fenced-in. - Always light birthday candles from the middle outward. - Nothin' gets the frustrations out better'n splittn' wood. - The longer dress hem, the more trusting the husband. - Enjoy doing your children's laundry. Some day they'll be gone. - You'll never catch a runnin' chicken but if you throw seed around the back door you'll have a skillet full by supper. - Check your shoelaces before runnin' to help somebody. - Visit old people who can't get out. Some day you'll be one. - The softer you talk, the closer folks'll listen. - The colder the outhouse, the warmer the bed. Paul

U and DM
mrsmackpaul replied to mrsmackpaul's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Thank you everyone for the quick response I had no idea what it all meant, I'm still a dumb ass with no idea 🤪🤪 As I read the Dumper Mixer comment by Brocky I got to thinking that U is for universal but was way to caught up with work yo reply So the U and the DM are a different cab, as in more motor is in the U cab than the DM cab ? Great stuff everyone, and as Swishy says, "you can have free pass your very own beer fridge", or something like that Inside a U cab Paul -
Whats the difference between a U model and a DN model Mack They both appear to have offset cabs and fiberglass bonnets Is one a lite duty and the other a heavy duty model Im sure the difference is obvious to people in North America, places like Australia never had them at all so it's a little less obvious Paul

Modern mobil phones are good except for Photos, noticed yesterday that my phone has most of the photos vanished Swore at the phone, did some Googling trying to work out how to get them back, no luck I started getting messages about storage stuff and possibly loosing photos a couple of months ago Thinking these were all B.S. to get money out of me for storage I ignored them, I have a feeling I copied them onto a hard drive, but can't quite remember My trip to NewZealand 2 years ago, all gone, my horse riding trip, almost all gone Mrs Mack photos, almost all gone So pissed at myself for not actually printing the photos Not that it really matters as how often do we even look at our wedding photos? Moral to the story, get the photos printed out, so shitty at me and have my fingers crossed I actually saved them on to a hard drive and it's not just wishful thinking But the Princess had another 21st birthday the other day and it just so happened I surprised her after much effort, (women are so nosey) with a new car We haven't changed cars in nearly 20 years That photo wasn't deleted Delivered by our local dealer Got some custom signs made up for it Big job Surprising a woman, snuck home from work, rang the dealer when I got close by and told him I was home Distracted the Princess inside while the dealer was outside preparing the bow etc I was introuble for surprising her 🤣 Anyway, I must stress we don't buy cars very often, just every 20 years or so Paul

Swampy works okay, but they have their limits Have finally got the new ducted split refrigerated unit it House is toasty warm now, the Princess is happy Will be ice cool in summer, Princess might be happy then as well, whilst this bigger than Ben Hur production was going on the control for the Swampy went bung, had to get a fresh one of those 600 bucks Australian Come home one stinking hot day, sitting down enjoying a cool beverage and next thing the fan stops blowing Run winding shit itself, nearly a grand for a motor Bugger me 1600 bucks on a swampy I was gunna pull out, no wonder I have to work all these hours, tiz a lotta up keep on a Princess lol Paul

mrsmackpaul replied to mowerman's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Just do what you can do, well theres less of a hole there than when you started filling the hole All of this body work looks crap until a coat of paint is applied Even plastering (dry wall) and preparing a room to paint looks crap until it's the one colour, I just glad none of my houses rooms are in full gloss and out in the sun Paul -

I dunno bugger all about fiber glass But it looks the goods to my untrained eye Paul -
I have a very loose plan in mind Fly into JFK, and head loosely for Cline landing in Alberta Canada, then to L.A., then New Orleans and back to New York What I do in between is pretty much unplanned Tim Maikshilo from the forum has sorted a set of wheels for me Wanna see mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse monument, Grand Canyon, and what ever else tickles my fancy So I reckon we can probably catch up Paul

Now the Inaminka Road house out in the dead heart country was brilliant back in the 80s and 90s stop there at night and the bloke running show would great you with a cold can, had a huge fire going out side and after a few drinks no one was a stranger A top place, haven't been there since the mid 90's -
