Yes have seen the same thing happen myself Unscrew filters and check if the old o ring is stuck I have had a gas leak LPG type of gas bottle on a house Anyway the flare on the fitting must of been hung up on something, one day I started changing bottles a lot quicker I checked and looked with soapy water a few times and couldn't find anything One day I could smell something and the nut on the flared fitting was loose, I mean not even finger tight and I had checked these I can only put it down to the fitting was hung on something in the nut It was air tight for a long time and suddenly was loose I wonder if maybe you have a fitting like this on a suction hose Sorry for the long winded yarn Paul

Dunno about keeping the cook happy, it's a bloody challenge these days I can tell yah 🤔😁 Anyway the Princess would of liked a new brick verneer Mac-Mansion but there was no way that was gunna happen, not a bloody chance The old parts of country towns in my part of Australia are all big old houses with big verandahs and big tall ceilings Big trees for lots of shade in summer and nice big blocks You cant build character in a Mac-Mansion as much as they try to bling them up with theater rooms and stuff At a guess it's about 90 years old which for this part of Australia is pretty old Should do up into a nice pad, there weren't many two story houses in Australia until maybe 20 or 30 years ago when when they started building the Mac-Mansions Oh what I call a Mac-Mansion is like going to a MacDonald's restaurant, everything is super sized and over the top Paul

I agree, I think if they sold them out here I would be at the dealers door a while ago with a cheque in my hand Same if we Mack sold the Pinnacle out here Anyway they don't sell either out here so I'll just keep what rubbish I have until I find something I like Paul

Well not yet Hippy, the trucks and trailers and tractors and dozers and farm machinery will stay put for a while and I'll slowly work out what I'm doing Has a big back yard with front and side entrance so a shed is definitely on the cards once some jobs get done to the house Gunna have to make it a tidy stylish affair for in the middle of town, the shed that is Paul

In all honesty it has probably been all for the best to haveall these engine dramas, I know it probably doesnt feel that way but I think it will work out that way It will be a brand new motor and if looked after will out last and give hundreds of thousands of trouble free miles To me that's a good result and the pain of doing all this extra work and expense will soon be forgotten Paul -
Hmm, gunna have to start wearing my town hat now I guess

Well big changes are a foot for my life Princess reckons, and has for some years now that she is over septic tanks, pressure pumps, relying on rain water, cranky animals, peace and quite and has politely suggested with more reoccurring vigour that she wants a house in town So like many well trained men of the world I finally did as I was told and bought a old house in town Settlement was last Friday I'm in for a different life now, a life of no more nudy runs thats for sure 🤪 The real estate agent photo is a bit flasher than mine Hello town life, lucky it is a small town of a few thousand and not few million Paul

I spotted the bed but not the occupant Miss Molly is not overly impressed with the cone of shame she has to wear at night However she is full of beans and ready to take on the world if she had half a chance Paul

Do you eventually get it to run or this is all you get 30 seconds of running Paul

Someone is keen for work and someone else is keen for sleep In fact the sleepy pooch is so buggerd after a big day it couldn't make it to the bed not more than 15 feet away It truely is a hard life 🥱 Paul

All is well then, glad you got a good result Paul -
Interesting what we all call things Elephant ears to me are the rubber isolators The outboard trunion stand is known by most as a "claw" type of trunion stand, in Australia at least and only by the small part of the people I know But yes green or blue would be my thoughts as well I would believe it only needs to be jacked until the weight comes off the trunion, the tyres should still be on the ground I would expect, once the tyre walls start to stand straight up and down with out a bulge I reckon that would take enough weight off Paul

Disconnecting the puff limiter makes no difference to power once boost is established So the only difference is on initial take off, once your rolling and making boost all is good and there's only a slight puff between shifts with or without the puff limiter working Most times that a big difference is felt when the puff limiter is disconnected it is because it wasn't working right There's a lot of myths and bullshit spoken about these If you disconnect them all you do is wash the oil off the bores and pistons, shorten the life of your motor and upset Greta Thornburg If they are set up right and working correctly there is no difference at all once your moving Also to add to the bullshit pile, these only have an effect in some gears, these arent your highway gears These were a well thought out bit of gear that did the job Paul

Well my faithful side kick had a falling from grace the two nights ago Miss Molly the border collie had a altercation with god only knows what, but it sorted her out good and propper All I know is there was a hell of a commotion at 1.00 am Anyway she was cut down down to the bone and was a little shaken in the morning Must of been a cut a couple of inches long Off to the vets to get patched up 11 stitches later and she is looking very different with her hair cut Anyway, the Princess isn't to impressed with Molly's new look (lucky she hasn't seen the vet bill) and Molly isnt to impressed with having to ware a bucket on here head So Captain Cone Head aka Miss Molly has lost here good looks for a few weeks Still buggered if I know what happened and Molly isnt forthcoming with any details Paul

Looks like a bit of liner to me I hope Im wrong Paul

I think that value for money in Australia at least White and Louisville were unbeatable in long distance interstate type of trucks You got the tough and proven American drive line, you got it quick and at a good price Mack there was and still is a long wait as is Kenworth And I also think the likes of White were really keen to fill order books and as such did good deals The cabs on both weren't as good as Mack or Kenworth and we can tell that by just how many didn't survive compared to Mack and Kenworth, Kenworth cabs appear to of survived a lot better than Mack International sold well but with all the drama of IH in America I think made a lot of customers nervous Paul
-
You know if the cab was good and not butchered it would fetch that just for the cab in Australia Im not knocking it but the proportions aren't to my liking I doubt that even if I lived next door to it I would buy it, not my cup of tea Paul

mrsmackpaul replied to Full Floater's topic in Driveline and Suspension
Im of no help here, any further details to what you actually have, as in size and what that us a photo of ? Looks a bit like the trunion stand that bolts to the outside of the chassis rail but I dunno from that photo Take a step or two back and get a bit more in the picture so we at least know the type of suspension you have Paul
