They never made an axle forward this was custom and yes it's longer than a ch hood -

We were the same way this truck was white with steel wheels plastic bumper and single exaust. We couldn't figure out a good way to paint it so we had them paint the pinstripes sets it off a little bit

Sorry no pics but the truck is still in my area. It was and 81 single axel R model 300 plus and a twin stick 6 speed

Jut wondering if anyone has seen a cl that has been converted to an axel forward there is on running the country out here pulling a bull rack it is one of the coolest trucks I have seen I don't think it would be that difficult to do and one of these days I might give it a go
