  1. You might be in luck! One of the last times I was at the licence office, the guy ahead of me somehow got his VIN messed up when he did his emission test - there is a form that has to be filled out by an authorized person ( dealer, appraiser) and the ownership can be changed - with you it is legit - you have a show truck you want correct in all ways - even the build date ,
  2. BAD DOG , licence fees have got stupid over the last 2 years. The government say they are helping us. But they seem to be shoving it up the ass of anyone with a truck. I have never had to show my CVOR to get plates or renewals. Do you have a plate now, and need the renewal sticker? Or need the plate too? I licensed my highway tractor for 8000 KG last year because I wasn't moving anything. I think it was between 2-3 hundred dollars for 3 months. My corn binder has a historic plate on it. But vehicle has to be 30 years old. No safety sticker required. That doesn't help you till 2019. You don't have a 1985 or older V.I.N plate for the door ? lol It might be worth the drive to my part of the world. I am thinking the licence office is going by the letter of the law. I know there is a licence office south of me that won't renew my plates if they are already expired. They want you to start from scratch. That doesn't work with me. I don't keep valid plates on the snowplow in the summer ,or valid plates on the dump truck in the winter. Hope it helps a little. Feel free to message me if you want. Keith
  3. WOW !!! Great job. Thanks again for sharing with us.
  4. Can't wait to see the "After" picture.
  5. Great job ! Its going to be too nice to drive. Hopefully its ok to right side your pics.
  6. Thanks everyone for the pics and info. I had never heard of a BIG AL . I knew you guys could enlighten me. Thanks 41 chevy , I absolutely love the A-car ,and the story. I'm with you though, the longer it sits , the less it will be worth to anyone. Hopefully one day you can save it. A great piece of history there. Keith
  7. Rained out today. So I'm spending time on the computer. I came across something interesting on another forum, and thought I would share it here. This is the text copied from the ad, just in case its not readable. BIG AL. is 450 cool running horsepower . low oil temp . low exhaust temp . turbo charged intercooled . compact 6-cylinder open chamber direct injection diesel. He's two-million mile performance proved . eats grades . hoards fuel. Available now in leading makes of trucks. We paint him Royal Purple because he's special. Two special demo rigs with purple BIG AL engines are criss-crossing the country now. Making truck stops all over. Look for BIG AL . Try him yourself. For full specs, check the truck manufacturers or their dealers. or call (312) 339 - 3300 . or write to Allis-Chalmers Engine Division, Box 563, Harvey, Illinois 60426 Drive BIG AL…..he's king ! I found a u tube video also . Just a little about it toward the end. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eglqWUkVwyk Would the special demo rigs be Freightliners ? Hopefully some experts can add to this. Keith
  8. Vlad, my invoice has part # 18QX416P2 I'm not sure about the SL2 at the end of the # A side glass in 2010 cost me $ 53.90 . I know you are looking for green tint. These are not green tint . But the tint is so light I don't think anyone but you would know the difference . …But I've been wrong before..
  9. Any glass I have bought , does not have the metal on it Vlad. I have a new tinted one in the shop , I will see if there is a part # on it. 5 years ago you could still buy them at Mack , probably no longer available now
  10. Can't believe the shape of that. Not hard to tell that hasn't seen salt. Very nice!!
  11. Unplug or take out the left turn lights one at a time. If the problem goes away its in the bulb or led unit. I have seen this before. Might not be this, but easiest spot to start. Next is a short in the wiring. Can be a little more difficult to find. Good luck O , and Welcome to BMT
  12. Well a little……..actually a lot, out of my price range. Hope it's going to a good home. $120,000 thats $ 153,484 in Canadian $$ Myself, I think it is worth it. You can't just buy that anywhere. Congrats to the new owner
  13. I don't want to steer you wrong, but usually the switch is on top of the transmission. It will have 2 wires coming off of it. Unplug it, check for power(key on). If there is power, jump the plug with a paper clip. Back-up lights should come on. If lights come on, problem with switch. If they don't come on, its not the switch. Its something else. My disclaimer… I don't know if newer stuff is like this. I only work on old crap trucks.
  14. Very nice ! I'm not usually big on modifications…….but I think the headlights will look good Thanks for sharing with us.
  15. Look'n good !!!! I love the white steering wheel. Thanks for sharing.

  18. That will be an interesting one to watch. Thanks for posting.
  19. Two of my favourites . A Deere helping a Mack. Very nice R !! Thanks for sharing.
  20. Welcome aboard !
  21. I'm not sure about Mack, but PAI has them for sure. I recently priced them. A little over 200 bucks for the for the top and bottom. And if your feeling generous, almost 350.00 for a stainless top. I like your new wheels, very nice. I wish I could give the R a nice home. Not in the cards right now.
  22. Otherdog, try to keep any names ( trooper, guy in suburban) and keep some notes about weather, time of day, everything you can remember. Up here people wait till the statute of limitations is almost up, then they sue, hoping that a lot of info has been forgotten or lost. It happens with people that run off the road in bad weather here. Hopefully Green dash is right and the driver holds themselves accountable. Sorry about your friend Wooly Booger. I know that name from somewhere, but can't put my finger on it. Thanks for the weekly pics, I always look forward to them.
  23. I found another way for you to load test your Louieville Rob. I just love this video, I think deep down I want to do the same thing when I'm out. The link, and a pic of the Louieville https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djlLrKhyNrU
  24. Very nice equipment!!! Thanks for sharing. You say you do demolition. Some demolition companies I see, the trucks are so rough, they look like they are part of the demolition job. Looks very professional, having sharp looking equipment !! Keith
