  1. Super classy truck! nice collection
  2. When I think of Macks in a movie, I think of Die Hard 3. When I looked for a pic, I found that Bigdogtrucker had started a thread about it a little more than 5 years ago. Very interesting! Here is a link to that thread. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/8502-die-hard-3-b-81/ And the next movie I think about is of course ….Convoy. A true classic, like the truck.
  3. I have some Western Star pics I wanted to share. The owners of all 3 trucks ran Internationals before their Western Stars. I don't really remember specs. I will try my best. Think it was a 1986 with a 60 series detroit Same truck. I was doing a job in down town Toronto in 1995 This was a 99 model year. New in1998. Had a big cat . Pic is taken in Montreal 1998. I'm the tall guy. Used to tag along for fun. This is a Truck that works for me. 2001 has a big cat,18 speed. Pic taken last May.
  4. If that truck could talk, imagine the stories it could tell. Great find ! look forward to watching and hearing about your progress.
  5. Thanks Thomas, I just got the 86 tri-axle out of storage. After I shine it up a bit more, I will post some more pics of it. The inside and the outside .
  6. Thanks Vlad
  7. Vision386, Back in Black, AdirondakMack and MACKS, thanks guys for the complements. My trucks have never been new, but I have always been particular about how they work and look. That means when everyone else was enjoying their weekend, I am usually working on something………….Thats how I enjoy my weekend!
  8. I remember that video. The guy got fired for it. We are told the same thing he says in the video"get the snow pushed back" . In the process of doing that, cars may get buried, driveways get filled. You can't really help it. He was just enjoying it too much. Really , its a terrible job. We get threatened, shovels thrown at the truck, cars parked in the way on purpose. And to top it off we are told if we say or do anything in response, we will be fired on the spot. No second chances.
  9. I had a 2010 Deere 200D that I sold last year…I know what your saying about fuel
  10. Looks great!! Only thing that would be better is if a John Deere was loading .
  11. Very nice truck MikeD.
  12. I'm think'n the same as you Bigdog. Couple more going oversea
  13. Dear?? hope that was auto correct
  14. I hope you find something. Could be tough in that price range. I have seen at auctions that anything with a bulldog on the hood goes for min. 5 grand. Even if it's crap. Nigeria is usually the on line bidder that takes it. Heres a link to an R model tractor, not far from Toronto. (I know its not close, just wanted to show you price) Its $ 8000.00 Canadian - converts to approximately $7250.00 US and I would call this a P.O.S. I http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-heavy-equipment-heavy-equipment-1984-Mack-R600-Tractor-W0QQAdIdZ576815970 There is deals out there, hopefully you find one……. and save another mack from going overseas.
  15. Very cool R. I Like the colour.
  16. Nice looking truck.
  17. I forgot about your beer. CHEERS !
  18. As always great pics. I like the blue sheep, its almost the same colour as my truck. You must know the "good look'n" parts of Winfall. I don't think I want to visit the same part of winfall that 41chev passed through.(still having trouble seeing) Its probably not very often you have a snow day on March 25.
  19. I think the weather has us all a little screwed. It has to get better…. Hope your painting soon.
  20. Thanks for the input.
  21. I has looking for input. I found this truck on kijji. It looks like it is in really good shape. It has a little over 180k miles. 2001 RD688 But they are asking $75000. In my mind, that is almost double what it is worth. Am I crazy, or do you think people would pay for a clean RD. Here is the link to the add http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-heavy-equipment-heavy-trucks-2001-Mack-rd-688s-dump-tandem-dump-truck-W0QQAdIdZ576383090
  22. Sorry ECD, I know your pain. I went through the same last year.
  23. Cool pics and thread, By the look of your equipment, I could guarantee that when you leave a job, not one blade of grass or speck of dirt is out of place. Keith
  24. Old man winter has not finished with us yet.
  25. We are praying for you to ECD. I know there are not many words that can ease your pain. Just know that you and Diesel are amongst friends. And stay away from H&C coffee trucks
