  1. As mentioned earlier, they make a special lower o-ring for fuel in oil but nothing for the upper o-ring, http://hr.mckenzietank.com/maint/bulletins/42-sb221038.pdf
  2. It was my buddy's CV with a 460
  3. http://hr.mckenzietank.com/maint/bulletins/44-sb221030.pdf
  4. Trying to attach service bulletin
  5. Could be the solinod pack/ magnet o-ring onthe EUP leaking. They make a o-ring kit for this.
  6. That's good to know as I just bought a new Chamberlain garage door opener. I love their app on my phone . I'm 900 miles from home for a couple of weeks and can open and close from my phone and tell if it's open or closed or even how long it's been closed.
  7. The failing turbo could have over sooted the DPF . Might be face plugged.
  8. We have had to weld a nut on the top of injectors befor and slide hammer them out when stuck in the cup. Mack has a really quick cup removal tool now, works great. On the cam issue, it was a injector roller bad and ate up cam. Thoses were 2010 Tyson MP8's and a few 2013's as well.
  9. A few weeks ago I had a AI engine that was pushing coolant when hot. After trying several things I finally got truck hot and pulled the injectors real fast and then removed the radiator cap. I used a long rubber tipped blow gun and pressureized each cylinder till one started blowing bubbles in the surge tank. Pulled heads and checked head gaskets and liner height. Finally installed re-man Mack heads and all good
  10. You remove the turbo to after cooler pipe and install test plug on to after cooler, leave all other piping alone., hook up air pressure regulator and pump 30 psi into after cooler/ rest of engine. Spray soapy water on intake gaskets and around air compressor intake piping and back of engine. Due to intake and exhaust valves being open in engine it might not hit 30 psi but it will be good enough to find leaks
  11. Mack Technician is correct. Yours should have the new updates done at the factory. The 2004 was the problem child
  12. You get any low fuel pressure codes? The engine ecm cooler plate seems to get clogged a lot on the older MP engines . Blow the lines out. Has the injector code come back? I had a MP 8 a few weeks ago throw a injector code and it was a bad camshaft . Missed like crazy though
  13. The early ETECHs had bad problems with intake manifold gaskets blowing out. Also remember all ETECH, CCRS and AI engines had the air compressor intake piped into the turbo boost pressure side of the intake system. Any leak at this piping will result in low turbo boost
  14. If grey motor then I'd look at the screen in the "Y" hose below the oil cooler. And also if a AI water pump was installed on a AC engine it can cause wired issues. Pulley size is different between the two models
  15. Also ,if early ETECH (98.5-01) then a cam key way change to over 400 hp plus all the other suff listed above
  16. Is this a ASET engine or early MP7?
  17. Does it have a Allison trans?
  18. Only thing I can think of is one of the power relays is not powering down. Try pulling the battery cables off, waiting a few minutes then putting them back on and try starting again. Also, you mean it will crank over but not start or just not crank over at all?
  19. The Mack Product Improvement Campaigns expire after so long and they delete them out of the system. Because of this I save everything Mack every sends me, all the way back to 2007. However the software updates are still there to help resolve issue.
  20. Hopefully the now software will be out soon. I think we waited 2-3 months for the last MP-8 updated engine software to fix a fault code issue.
  21. Sound like the poppets need to be adjusted for full travel . http://www.rhsheppard.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/mseriesmanual.pdf and also http://www.wellertruck.com/pdf/tsupp/STRG/SteeringGearPoppetValvesAdustment.pdf
  22. 7-1 is parking brake switch.
  23. We are starting to see more and more MP-8's with emission deleted. There is a local guy here thats doing them and results have been great so far. Cost is about $5000. Injectors/cups are usually good for about 300,000 miles. We usually see them replaced 3 times in the life of the truck ( on average) . Bull gears/timing gears usually are good till 800,000 at least.
  24. Forgot to look, but I just pulled it up and yes you have a EM7-300. Your Model number is a RD690S last of VIN 031609. So the cheapest you could do is a turbo change and download and get gain a little torque and a 100 HP. However, I would have your dealer contact Mack and see what Mack will do being its a Allison trans. When it comes to vendor trans they dont like to bump them sometimes.
  25. Yes dealer is correct. Solution: If the truck is a Mack MR/LE and along with this fault code there is request for frequent parked regenerations (hourly or daily) refer to TT-020-2015 FG - 25; Vehicles Requesting Frequent Regenerations ( hourly to daily ) - found in the Trucks Dealer Portal under the Service Tab - Tech Support - Tech Support Tips or click here. Parked regenerations once every 30-40 engine hours is normal on stop and go vehicle applications. If the only complaint is MIL for P2459 ( more frequent during winter months ), then use the following recommendation. 1. Do not replace any components. 2. Recommend parked regenerations once every week or sooner. 3. A Software Release ( SW ) release is planned to address the root cause for this fault code. This CBR will be updated at that time.
