  1. Love it when a plan come together. Looks real good
  2. Thanks Paul, It looks like you've got some serious unfolding of your own going on.
  3. I used an ez wiring kit under 200 bucks for 21 circuit. I think the 12 circuit is under 100. I am happy with the quality .
  4. Trim, mirrors, parking/ turn signals going on. Took the worst half dogs I had. sandblasted, primed and painted with "chrome" paint. I took a couple of parking lights, hole sawed the backs an epoxyed pvc conduit couplings to them to hold new sockets.
  5. They were great in a 32000 pound single axle but really didn't belong in anything heavier. They used a lot of them in marine applications.
  6. Truck is in next town over from Sandwich so it probably is Sandwich's
  7. I had an L8000 crane truck with that engine and trans. My god it was slow, I changed it over to a rt910, still slow but it gave me something to do while I was driving. One thing about a 3208 it didn't matter how cold it was you could open the door in the morning, turn the key and it would be running instantly. Jim, that's the first thing I thought of but I want an R
  8. for sale on Cape Cod. Check out the specs on this. How to build the world's slowest fire truck.https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/hvo/d/mack-dm/6245050135.html

  10. That must have sold almost instantly
  11. Did you happen to catch the name of the sign company in Baltimore? Oh, and don't ever trust one us signhangers to show up on time.
  12. Nice B42 sitting in front of a motel on the Cape Cod Canal for a while now, been meaning to stop and take pictures.
  13. So I gathered up all the small pieces I've been collecting over the years to pick out the best trim stuff in the pile. Turned out to be a lotta stuff. I'll have to have a yard sale when I'm done with this. No new chrome in the budget but I've got my Harbor Freight buffer. Things are shining up pretty good although there is a lot of pittting. Got headlights wired and working, I'm going to modify the parking lights into park/turn signals. I also saw a really nice R model wrecker today, I'm not as good as OD with the 70mph photos.
  14. Hi Bob, might not be 100% but it's going for a trip to the fairgrounds, Got headlights done yesterday. Found out something interesting today, I thought the hood I used was a B61 but there aren't any holes for the diesel emblems, must have been off a gas job.
  15. Should work, here's a photo of the back side of the plate
  16. Plate with welded bolts
  17. Progress report. Got the bottoms of both doors rebuilt, painted them inside and out and reunited them with the cab after being off for 15 years. I can't believe it's been so long since I took the original truck apart but I don't want to rush things you know? Now onto fitting power windows new glass. window channels and locks.
  18. I hear a rumour that its going to Ct. to live with a BMT member.
  19. Ow! That makes my eyes hurt.
  20. My Shertzer was sitting in the woods for quite a few years. No rot on the frame because someone stripped the wood off of it. This one has the axle bolted directly to the frame too, no suspension. Only problem is that it's so damn short not too much fits on it.
  21. Was that truck sitting outside the station on Rt. 44 about 18 years ago?
  22. Rotted liner? 5K miles in 10 years might have had bad antifreeze or too much water. My NH 250 Cummins lost a liner that way rot hole behind an o ring from just sitting.
  23. I'm in black t shirt next to Doug, Red Horse Bob is between me and Ken. I'm 6'6" so I've always been back row center since 1st grade, Rich
  24. You got a 2fer OD Red Horse Bob is in the green t shirt by the yellow f150 behind Vinnie
