Got asked to help out hanging a "few" old signs to make a downtown area look like 1967 for a movie they are filming next town over where I used to live. Fully loaded 53' trailer and 48' drop deck showed up. Looks like a whole lot more work than I expected. Actually put my Autocar to work and it's the same vintage as the signs.

Rebuilt the rear cab mount area with some 5" x 1/4" flatbar. Slight wear and tear on old mounts. Gotta love hockey pucks. Wanted to mount fuse box in glove box like Mack did it but wires were made for mounting near steering column.

Yeah. the ez wiring looks like it going to work real nice, they made the Dolphin gauge set also. I had to use a magnifying glass to read the wires when I ran them in the right directions yesterday. The fuse box is all marked well. I got the heat / A/C kit on ebay for less than $600. I gotta ramp the pace of this little project up so I can take it to our show in October.

Finally got caught up enough with work to be able to make some progress on this. painted the cab interior, got the gas pedal mounted and hooked up, bled the brakes, cut in the stereo, and got the clearance lights on . next up the pile of spaghetti hanging from the dash.

I thought it was welded to the flanges too but I think its welded to the angle mounted to the outside of the frame

First time I saw them was in the late 80's haven't been down driveway since then. Forgot they were there until we went to the pet grooming place next door a few days ago. I'm surprised they haven't deteriorated more in 30 years.

Three identical Whites in the woods at the edge of a farm next town over. Not sure what year they are.

Actually thats a good idea, I am putting an electric compressor and small tank in just for the air horns but I don't think that really requires monitored air pressure. This got me thinking maybe a trans temp gauge, I'm going to check to see if they make a matching one.

It's An air pressure gauge , needed to fill one blank spot

It came as a full set, google Dolphin Gauges in Florida. I would think their mechanical speedo set would work on the firetruck. I got the electronic one with a GM pulse generator so I can adjust it easier (I hope). I think the mechanical set is about $230. I got the universal wiring harness from them too $185 and that looks pretty well made. Won't know how the gauges work for a little while, there were only a few reviews online but people seemed happy with them.

Made some progress, cut shifter holes in floorpan and got that back in, made linkage for transfer case, got steering column and steering shaft in. Got a rear wiper motor from a Saturn Vue, going to try to adapt it to the B Model wiper linkage, it will be single speed but I think that will be ok. Guages and wiring harness came in yesterday really like the art deco faces. I hope I can get this moving around the yard under it's own power before I leave for Macungie

It was a whole kit from an ebay speed shop in Iowa, they call it a corvette style master cylinder with a double diaphram booster it came with a brake pedal and bracket. I used the same booster and master on my 57 IH 2 ton and it locks the brakes right up (one of these days I'll get a proportioning valve on that thing and get it adjusted right)
