If the evap isn't filthy you can clean it put a new expansion valve and I always clean the heater box and and blow out the duct work. Also make sure you put on a new receiver dryer as well . Another trick I learned on the early red dot hvac systems is they did not come with a filter like the berg storm units in cx, cv etc and the dirt plugs up evap and you get hardly any air flow so before I Put the intake duct on the heater box on the passenger side I get one of those blue filters they use on the later models to protect the evap from dirt then when it gets dirty you only have to change the filter not clean the whole system again

My he heater core can come out without removal of the evap but not the other way around . I have done a lot of repairs on these systems have any questions let me know

I think we should start a poll on what series Mack truck is the most popular series when people hear the word Mack truck what comes to your mind ? I think in my opinion first place goes to the R series for sure even if your not a Mack enthusiast everyone knows the R series . Followed by the B series in second , then I think the CH series one of my personal favorites like em or not you can't deny there popularity

I so excited I got me my first steel dash R . I have wanted one for a long time everyone I came across was in poor condition or been modified by poor hands. This one is mostly all original still plumbed in copper air lines , positive ground that will be changed , none of the wiring gas been hacked up still has its original tailights , and the original seats . Runs like a top little endt 675 , sits in my shop for a week and does not leak a drop on the floor heck I have new trucks that I can't say that about . My boys and I ttake her for a drive around the countryside a couple times a week . I love it reminds me when I was a boy riding in trucks like that with my dad they were hardcore truckers is those days makes us love our modern trucks

I got these from a guy who is retiring . I do not need all of them will sell two of them they are all 8vbb pumps these do not go on an e9 they were for endt 865 or 866 engines I have no idea of what condition they are in they have all been in a climate controlled building since removal to they are not all rusted up . THE STUD THAT THE STRIKER IS FITTED TO THAT GETS JUST A LITTLE SLOP TO IT IT WILL VIBRATE YOU MAY HAVE TO PUT A TACK WELD ON IT I HAVE DONE THIS NUMEROUS TIMES EVEN IF IT IS NEW IF IT IS A BAD FIT IT WILL RATTLE IVE SEEN IT A BUNCH OF TIMES EVEN ON BRAND NEW OUT OF THE BOX

There is a thermostatic switch that controls them they are air and electric controlled my v8 has a switch in the water manifold that signals the air sitter valve to open and close

Well here she is back to her former glory . It was hurt bad the front axle was only held in by the shocks no joke . The trans flywheel housing was shattered by the leaf spring hitting it . I had to put a new t310m trans in it I bought one from Mack a reman works awesome . New clutch flywheel resurfaced also . Everything on the front of the engine was replaced as well as the radiator charge air cooler and the ac condensor . New steering gearbox the list goes on lol . She is as good as new now and the best part was me and my 6 year old boy got to take her for her first drive today it's a little tradition we have every truck I complete we take for its first drive togother 😊

Looking for the shift tower for a rto 12513 that is in good shape mine is severely worn gets stuck between gears sometimes . Is there any other eaton models that will interchange with each other or are they model spesific ?

I like the luberfiner on the side . Nothing looks better on an old truck than a luberfiner and the truck on spokes

This truck has Mack rears but not sure what make the suppention is I thought maybe rayco?

My granite project is comming back toghther . She is almost ready to drive under her own power for the first time in over a year

I'm looking to buy this truck from a local farmer and I have never seen A kit in the vin I'm wondering if it was a glider kit . But I thought glider kits had gk at the end can someone shed some light on this vin tag

It is tweaked just a little . I'm going to get the new supentionparts on it and get it back on the ground and then it is going to the frame shop to get rails back perfect.

613 means it is a twin screw 612 was for single axle
