  1. Think it had freightliner air ride. It had straight frame rails and steering box was outside of the frame in front of the front axle.
  2. Maybe he is a hoarder and need help with his "problem". I'm willing to offer some help.
  3. I was told in PA an antique vehicle can be operated after daylight as long as it has a state inspection 1 time (doesn't mater if its expired) showing it has DOT approved lighting.
  4. I got on 78 with him Saturday afternoon on the way home. his truck steps along pretty good for as much wind as it catches.
  5. Her or the truck?
  6. Anyone know the truck? Curious what frame and drivetrain is under the body.
  7. My tank and wheels where pretty bad and we started with 180 on the DA. Then worked way up to 600 then 1000 wet by hand and wd40 instead of water. Then dad started with 10" red buffer wheel and rouge. Think there is 3 diffrent wheels and types of rouge he uses. To fast of buffer makes to much heat and makes a mess with the rouge. I hate doing it. I'm glad my dad don't mind, because if not for him my stuff wouldn't be done right. It's alot of work to start with old stuff to make them right.
  8. Somewhere on here a member "freight train" has a really detailed post of what he went through when he did his conversion. His was a 673 non turbo to start.
  9. Here's the axle I used. And the ubolt pads / bump stops. I cut the shock mounts off of them and made my own to go on ubolts like mack ones did. These are the same ones on my 2017 cascadia Also used steel hubs I don't have a # for them. Used fabricated brake drums instead of the cast due to the thinner mounting surface to help keep wheel in fender.
  10. Here's the finished drag link. I'm happy with results. New steering arm raised everything inline and the drag link from the sterling I got the new brakes from had the perfect bend. All I did was shorten it and put the mack end on to fit pitman arm.
  11. My youngest kept looking at it and finding stuff.
  12. Call me a creep if you want, but I took a screen shot of these you posted before too.
  13. Nice picture, and it dosent do the truck justice. It was a very nice truck!
  14. I partially overheard the guy explaining to someone. The turbine was geared to the flywheel to transfer the power. It had some kind of heat exchanger on the normal exhaust stack, and 2 radiators in the truck.
  15. I remember looking at my dads and admiring the "trucks" when I was a kid in the late 80's early 90's.
  16. That's me in the top left with the orange hat on.
  17. Ok thanks. Sounds like its right off rt100 shouldn't be to bad.
  18. Kids and me will be coming Saturday morning for our first time. Is there a better place to park? We will be coming in the pickup this year. Thanks, hope to meet some of ya's. Robert.

  20. Pa dosent need a yearly inspection on antique tags. Personally I think that's wrong and if its driven on the road it should have to be inspected.
  21. Ding! ding! ding! you hit the nail on the head. Thats the problem with this country. To many people live with that attitude.
  22. Just a idea ..... But if this is the first they seen coated bearings is it possibles they put it together without assembly lube? That could maybe explain all the bearings looking like this??? Maybe something this simple??
