  1. http://truck.speedsociety.com/railway-train-derailment-and-train-collision-is-scary/?source=td Scary stuff here we never had one go into a uncommanded emergency we hit a pick up truck back in the 70s and were put into emergency. Its pretty eerie to know you have a problem behind you and not know what it is I'm really surprised the grain train engineer didn't give the crude train engineer the heads up sooner though.
  2. Hope there is skid plates under those fuel tanks or there will be problems down the line.
  3. Well its a 713 maybe a 300 or 350.
  4. I have a line on a 3408 which may be going in my superliner at a much later date got to get back to work first to pay for it.
  5. I sold them on ebay they are long gone.
  6. I don't know but I'm sure if the frame is messed up keeping the price down it will be a good deal for someone.
  7. Looks like a good fixer upper everything is there may go for a reasonable price wish I lived closer. https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=40&acctid=4094
  8. The more I think about it Al I do remember that truck it was blue with a silver grille I thought it was an old cornbinder that why I never paid much attention to it.
  9. I'm thinking its real soft there looks like the trailer sunk in until it tipped the machine off then went back down.
  10. We have lots of golden boys doesn't look like they used much of the stock piled material we hauled in last summer because they kept the plant stocked as it used up the stone this winter. Its going to be interesting how they will keep six of us hauling gravel with nowhere to put it when we get there.
  11. The golden boys work all winter hauling structures, pipe and pulling our gravel trailers we get to sit around until there is enough to keep all them working and we get whats left over.
  12. This is what I went with a comfy car seat that I put on a bostrom base they gave me a few of the bases at work.
  13. Another south of the border driver no doubt.
  14. Now that truck has the right look the pete fenders take the boxy look out of it I would like to see that one when its finished. I think an old Hendrickson would make a good candidate for this I should have taken that old hank water truck from ECS when they offered to give it to me.
  15. No I cant say I remember that one.
  16. Yes that's the one RG distributing I always liked that old truck never got washed just kept working and making money.
  17. I wonder what ever happened to the old blue R model with the sleeper that ran for distinct he is driving a CH now that truck hauled around here for years.
  18. My bobbed military deuce was the only thing I stuffed a caterpillar into so far I would like to find a decent 3408 to put into one of my macks though.
  19. I guess if you want to win tractor pulls get an old green engine and stuff it into an old green tractor and blow the competition away.
  20. Bandags are great caps the we found at work the age of the casing usually isn't the problem its how many times they have been recapped that determines how long they will last.
  21. I have two sets of used but in good shape aluminum door sill plates I took of my trucks make m an offer I can ship the pretty cheap.
  22. Well we got it to Joes macks house and my plan was to flat tow it home with a military tow bar but the truck I was going to tow it with had problems so I'm back to trying to find someone to transport it here. I'm glad we got it where it sits now because its in a place where I'm not rushed to get it out of there and it can be picked up anytime.
  23. Yup that was the culprit on my truck.
  24. I had my superliner cab media blasted and had a ton of body work to fix the ripples in the cowl where some jerk held the door open while backing up and jammed it into something punched in from top hinge to bottom hinge. Lots of holes from putting screws into the metal and using them to pull out the metal the top jamb of the door on the cab was punched in a half inch from the door coming up and smashing it they filled it with bondo which was all cracked I had to weld in a plate to bring it up enough for a leveling course of bondo to make it look right. A real nice rust free cab from California but lots of repairs caused by careless drivers but now I have it all ready for paint.
  25. I had a cracked line on my RD the one that ran around the front of the engine I had the same problem until they changed out the line then no more problem.
