  1. I see the smokey and the bandit truck still has the tube type bias ply tires nice touch for authenticity.
  2. That tank looks like mine on the RS when I polished it out since they were never polished at the factory they need to be sanded with 800 grit them buff them again to make them like a mirror.
  3. My dad had a friend who drove for giertz melahn years ago when they bought the new macks he stayed with his old hendricksen said the macks were to hard to drive without power steering so he kept the hendricksen until he retired.
  4. As long as you don't have to stop the truck and throw the little rug down and face mecca to pray your just fine.

  8. Yes if you check out various fabric places you can get different thickness of foam on the back.

  10. Finished one headliner today one to go this is the old style headliner where the sides and back are separate from the main body.
  11. Look on gov deals for one they auction off a lot of S series trucks international was always a cheap truck making them popular with municipalities.

  13. Its called polymath 797 works great comes in a can the trick is you have to spray both surfaces just spraying one or the other doesn't work as well.
  14. No I'm just to tech illiterate to change the date I really never thought of it I have had the question before though from other guys who didn't believe something I posted on facebook because of the date I think all the pictures taken by this same camera are dated 2014.
  15. Today I finished the other back piece I ran short of black material so I had to punt and use some red to hide it looks good to me I started covering the armrests too with the smaller waste pieces.
  16. The thinner more expensive black diamond quilt with the fake buttons came from a seller in Canada called upholsteryworld I like the fake leather shiner diamond quilt sold by showtimefabric its thicker and less expensive that's where I bought all the red material from too.

I took a back panel apart for a pattern and now I use it to trace out the new ones as I did with the door panels and headliners.
  18. Started on back panels this week between getting our new puppy healthy 350 dollars in vet bills during a winter lay off isn't setting well with me but here is one finished panel and one ready to be glued up ready for fabric later today.
  19. If I run into problems with the corner of the door panel I can peel the vinyl back and remove the foam backing from the corner.

  21. Not getting much done now brought another type dog home sunday he has been taking all my time now been teaching him how to use puppy pads to pee and poop on he has learned to use them in a day and he is only seven weeks old.
