  1. It was a pleasure meeting you and your son at York. What would you have in mind for a trade? My true passion is pre war Fords. Mainly model a's.
  2. I think it's time to let my truck go. It has an endt675 engine, and a 5 speed trans. 322,00 miles. The truck was parked in 1991 and stored indoors until 2012. I have the full report and book from the mack museum. The inside of the truck was fully gutted, cleaned, and placed back in. There is a brand new mattress in the sleeper as well. All interior lights and gauge lights replaced. The Floors are soft in some places. The cab was waxed, seam sealed, along with the pass side, tool box area repaired( it is not body worked yet). The exhaust and intake brackets are powder coated satin black. The exhaust is new along with the air filter. The water pump, thermostat and alternator are new, radiator repaired. Truck has new steers, dr rear brakes, new rear pots, 4 new batteries, front and rear mud flaps, all fuel lines are new, hydraulic tilt system completely rebuilt. Front glass has a small chip other glass is good. Chassis was wire wheeled and painted black. All fluids are new along with the filters. I drive the truck everywhere. It's first run was to the York show. It doesn't leak any liquids or give me any issues what so ever. Will take and post pics next weekend. Not sure what this is worth so make me an offer. My cell is 570-561-3569.
  3. I also had a lot of algae in the tanks when I bought it.
  4. I was thinking something in the pump was weak or malfunctioning.
  5. Hi guys, my f model has a 237 and a 5 speed. While up shifting the truck bucks horribly. I only bobtail. I have lubed all the linkage ,checked the throttle springs, changed the filters, checked for Bent or broken link rods, changed the air filter, replaced all fuel lines. I even go easy on the throttle so it will run smoother. It kinda seems like a fuel delay. Any thoughts.
  6. The bristle discs at Eastwood sell for removing paint should work and not chew up the wheel.
  7. I checked shaft for play. There is no movement side to side or in and out. There is also no oil in intake elbow or tube to compressor. Slight coating of oil on surface around fins. Nothing heavy kinda like a sooty film. Going to clean tube and reinstall. Also there is no staming or marking on this turbo, but uses to v band clamps at exhaust end and compressor end. Could it be a Garrett?
  8. I have been idling it a lot lately. Air filter was changed a month ago. I did not run the truck at all until all filters and fluids where changed.
  9. I have some oil in the tube going from turbo to intake side of an endt675. Am I screwed
  10. I will do just that. Thanks for the help
  11. Does anyone know where I can purchase the rubber bushings that the rear of the cab sits on. Truck is a f700. Metal base with a triangular bushing molded to it.
  12. I heard that the museum in shenandoah may be closing. Any truth to that.
  13. Thank you for the help. This was not one of the things that I thought i would need to fix. But on the first shakedown coolant was pouring from the weep hole. Oh we'll at least I didn't drain and fill with fresh coolant first.
  14. Anyone ever have to replace one the these pumps. Motors an endt 675 with 3 groove pulley on it. Book lists my pump as 316gca 487 p1. Not sure which pump to buy. Have not taken the pump off yet. Any help would be great.
  15. I don't think the drives are under it yet. It's been in the same spot for a while.
  16. The tour is a must. Amazing history and not to mention a pretty town with lots of great food.
  17. That's an amazing yard you have there.
  18. How heavy is the hub and drum combo on a dayton rear axle setup. I will be rebuilding the rear brakes on the f. I'm looking for tips to remove this without damaging parts, or hurting myself. I thought of making a dolly that will lift and support tires, hub drum. Allowing me just unbolt axle and axle nut, and slide complete unit off of axle housing. Any thoughts
  19. Maybe Gilcrest trucking from Old Forge Pa. Spelling is probably wrong.
  20. You are legally ok for amber rearward facing turn signals. They have to be functioning as turn signals only. Look at all the tanker trailers.
  21. The guy I bought truck from says he has 2 new covers. If he comes through I will send you my steel set.
