  2. Its a 1976 RL685 with a 9 yard Challenge Cook Mixer, I work it 2 to 4 days a week and love my truck. Last week it broke the rt front main leaf spring and I cant find one anywhere. Its a 20,000 lb front axle 11 leafs 3.5" wide, Triangle Part # 62-734. I might have to send it to the scrap yard if I cant find or get one made
  3. I use a 5 gallon bucket of clean solvent and dry ice to put the liners in, and welding gloves , they get cold enough that your skin will stick
  4. detergent, delo 400 or delo 1300 le, rotella. Use a good diesel oil, all the new automotive oils dont have additives to protect Flat tappit cams

  12. Connect the Intake for the compressor to the boost side of the turbo and it will stop 90% of the oil. Mine was hooked up to the air filter side and used to get a lot of oil in the tanks, Air dryers are a must!! I drain my tanks every 2 months and get almost nothing

  14. Could be a loose injector. I had one come loose, I just put water on the top of the engine and saw the bubbles comming from the loose one. It was all carboned up so I had to pull it and clean everything

  17. There are ok , 1st one a little dark but sound was good
  18. My truck did the same thing, it was water in the fuel tank!! It would run fine for days then I would hit a bump on the freeway and the engine would stumble for a sec. The fuel pick up is about a inch off the bottom of the tank, the sloshing would let water get sucked up when I hit bumps or parked on a hill.
  19. I forget if your engine has a turbo but that much oil it can only be the turbo! Don't know the seals would go out from just sitting cuz they are metal ring type seal. If you don't have a turbo the oil rings are gummed up and need to be unfrozen, either by driving or oil additives or the unthinkable (inframe)
  20. Ill try that when I have to do some exhaust wk, its Tight in there dont know if i can cut the safety wire and get the plug out. I found 2psi of boost!!! the gas pedal had a little more travel in it . I'm up to 27 psi now

I have the Maxi-Torque T107 5 speed and I think the rear ends are 4.11. 4th to 5th is a lugger on a hill but it pulls through it from about 1000 rpm, if I shift with the jake it cuts back a little smoking and keeps the boost up. Here is a photo from 6 years ago when I put a new clutch in it. Dam that thing was Heavy

  23. I read the other topic on how to increase the fuel but my pump looks different. I think it is a Bosch. Its a ETAY673A 315 HP 1979, Max rpm under a heavy load is only 1900 and cruzing is 2100 I can only due 57 mph at 2100 rpm I need just a little more! The puff elemator works great and I have a bypass s/w on the dash for steep hills The engine doesn't blow smoke at all. Ok i opened the top of the pump and ????? New photo too!! Thanks
