  1. Could shove this combo in there. 300 and a 6 speed http://www.ebay.com/itm/MACK-300-Maxidyne-Diesel-Engine-COMPLETE-TURNS-FREE-w-6SPD-TRANS-R690-/321856666274?hash=item4af026faa2&vxp=mtr
  2. But where is the adventure in buying one that is already done. I guess that it comes down to whether one wants a project to tinker on and have the pride of restoring or just fork out the cash for one that is done.
  3. I am all over that, we will see what it ends up at. Thanks
  4. From the album: f-model

The 385/65r22.5's fill the wheel well nicely.
  5. From the album: f-model

Floatation front tires, and stacks its looking better.
  6. No, I have a windshield and some other parts from gregg that will be there and am trying to figure out if they can hitch a ride back closer to Michigan. If not I'll just call it a road trip and head out there.
  7. I have the exhaust bracket if you need one . It is off my 68 f model that I changed up to dual stacks. Is this the bracket you need? (the air cleaner has/is being moved elsewhere)
  8. Is anyone attending from the Indiana, Ohio area?
  9. Would that pto you have David fit a 5 speed ? Only if it doesn't end up working for 1957B61VT
  10. Looking for a passenger side f-model windshield. Or a source where one can still be purchased, any leads?? Thanks
  11. Agreed on the high amp draw of halogen head lights being an issue. The solution as some have said is a relay harness, but what about LED headlights? I am sure they are available either as a upgrade kit or a stand alone sealed bulb. Then you would have tons of light and minimal amp draw.
  12. Nice price at my local napa it is still $52. Here is some of the cross referencing of common filters. Wix 51233 Napa 1233 AC pf-355 Air Refiner PL-311A Baldwin P-706-M Baldwin PV-706-M Big A 742 Big A 92233 Carquest 85233 Carquest 85234 Caterpillar 9Y-4500
  13. Just order the wix 51233 which is the equivalent to a Baldwin p706m from amazon for $35 and free shipping and save a couple $$ over napa.
  14. yeah a 15114 is what I mean.
  15. Does anyone know if the g-157 o-ring can be interchanged with a napa/wix 5114 (15114) ? specs on each: g-157 o.d: 9 i.d: 8.46 thickness: 0.28125 5114 (15114) o.d: 9.025 i.d: 8.475 thickness: 0.275
  16. Both are excellent ideas. I never realized the cruise liner had it set up that way. Mackmb212 can I get the diameter and height?
  17. Not much of an issue that a y pipe can't cure I wouldn't think.
  18. Do you have a picture? I plan to move the filter housing from its current location to the center of the truck so the intake stack is centered between the exhaust. So new mount brackets and such are going to be made anyway.
  19. Do you have a picture of your set up? Also what would the price be for just the filter setup? I have 2 sets of wix spin on filters I had ordered by mistake before I realized it was a canister. I keep getting told by the lady of the house I have to much stuff and I keep saying, no I just need a larger barn. So an extra engine is probably not going to fly. Mine only has just over 300,000 so it should last a while in my 2,000 mile a year usage.
  20. Thanks that has saved me a lot of driving around and back and forth to the store.
  21. Looking for a paper element style air filter housing. Looking to change from the current oil bath set up after reading up on its less that amazing filtration capabilities. Doesn't necessarily have to be a Mack housing but metal is preferred.
  22. Well worst case I guess I can make up my own lines using earls braided line and fittings from summit. I have had great results with those products on fuel injection systems. I'll try napa first though.
  23. Oil lines are next on the hit list. I actually broke the oil line from the turbo last night while putting in a coolant line. I just slid it sideways a bit for room and it cracked in half. Braded fuel lines are similarly brittle I would assume. Is there a recommended source for these lines? I was thinking of taking my old pieces in to napa and having new ones made up.
  24. As much as I have been crawling over, under and inside that thing replacing the water pump and coolant hoses I should have realized where it was. Thanks step closer to getting the old truck back to road ready. Then onto the painting.
