  1. My vote is for Simpson brand from lowes. Specifically model # ALH3225 3200 psi, kolher engine and heavy duty pump. http://www.lowes.com/pd_516791-93684-ALH3225_1z0wgc3Z1z10wteZ2z8vq__?productId=50119895&Ns=p_product_qty_sales_dollar|1&pl=1 From others I have used in the past the more pressure the better it cleans. For the price increase over a harbor freight version it is worth it, you get what you pay for.
  2. Putting them on my f model for steers. I have the same size (a different brand I picked up used) on my Chevy c60 dump for steers and like the floatation on soggy muck (most of my property).
  3. They are just under $400 for a 395/65r22.5 , a shop near me has them. I thought I would ask if they are worth it or would a recap be a better use of the money?
  4. Has anyone heard of or had experience with Annaite Tires? Curious if they would be better than recapped/retreaded tires for a very limited personal use mack? www.annaite-tire.com
  5. I am not sure if one off a eaton fuller will fit on a mack transmission. I am new to this so I'll have to do more research . Let me know if I am mistaken. Thanks I am from Michigan
  6. I am looking for a pto for my 5 speed trl107. Looking to run a small end dump around my place. Might consider a complete wet kit set up if the price is right.
  7. I had to do a double take, I thought this was the one you were redoing. http://saginaw.craigslist.org/grd/4893877160.html
  8. Will the ride be excessively stiff with the increased load rating over the original 10.00r20 or 11r22.5?
  9. I am looking at putting 385/65r22.5 (Dayton rims) for steers on my f-model with air assist steering. I am trying not to sink in my soft (swampy) property as bad. Has anyone run this size tire on a mack cabover? If so what were the results? Any input is appreciated. Going for something like this but with spoke wheels.
  10. Go with the f model, I never regret buying mine.
  11. I believe I have similar system on my single axle dump truck. The electric motor/pump on the master cylinder is a back up if the engine fails and you loose hydroboost it provides limited pressure boost for braking power. If you have a brake fluid leak it will run on and on before the engine is started with the key in the on position. It should shut of quickly once the system is up to pressure once the hydro boost and engine are running.
  12. Found this cruising the craigslist not association, thought someone might be interested. http://janesville.craigslist.org/hvo/4886270405.html
  13. I'll have to take a closer look at the pups I have in mind and see which type they are. Thanks
  14. I need the windshields out of the f model. Are they still good and if so how much?
  15. Are there pups that have non removable 5th wheel dollies?
  16. I have been kicking around the idea of buying a small 2 or 3 axle pup end dump to pull behind my f-model. Mainly a pup because I can get some relatively cheap and I don't need a 35 ft end dump for my hobbies. But I have a few questions: -First can a pup even be pulled with the semi or can it only be used on a dolly? -Second am I going to run into weight/ bridge law issues with a pup? -Third what is the preferred type for dirt/gravel full frame, quarter frame or frameless? Something like the one pictured.
  17. That looks like a good truck for average hobby use. Orlando is just to far and to little project money at the present though.
  18. Going with the uncoiled rubber for the air lines. Thanks for the input everyone.
  19. For low volume custom plastic parts try www.quickparts.com or www.protolabs.com. We use both for quick prototypes of parts before we cut steel on the plastic injection molds where I work. Both companies can give you quotes if you can give them a 3d CAD model.
  20. What are some of the preferred brands/sources for trailer connection hoses? The hoses on my F-model fell victim to age and sun and I am looking for a replacement set. I don't want to buy a new set only to have them crack when it gets cold. There are a vast array of choices from cheap ebay hose sets to much more expensive options.
  21. I-94 is just a zoo with the smallest amount of ice of snow. Some people drive 15 mph with flashers on while others are doing 90. Luckily my house was just outside the evacuation zone for that mess.
  22. A possible parts source 1983 Gmc General. It has an 8v71 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Engine-1983-GMC-GENERAL-8V71-DETROIT-ENGINE-TURBO-ENG-ONLY-0MB23-105K-/351072459378?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item51bd8c9a72 Sorry didn't notice the engine was a 71 not a 82 , corrected it .
  23. While he is close by he should grab this one as well. http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/hvo/4828899324.html
  24. Not mine just happened acrossed it on craigslist. http://atlanta.craigslist.org/sat/cto/4823853081.html Cab is ALL aluminum Cummins NTC 280 engine 10 Speed Roadranger Transmission I have owned this truck for many years and used it in my business in Georgia, but the last few years we have not used the truck. We started this truck last week and drove it around the yard. (No insurance on it to take it out on the road) There are no dents or rust in the cab of this truck. Its just an old truck.
