I am looking for some info. Actually a diagram of (gear driven) power steering pump inner workings would rock.. My power steering reservoir keeps filling up. I have learned that if a O ring blows out or whatever it allows your oil to back up into the reservoir ...thus filling it up. I got a pump "rebuild" kit from mack. Which is nothing but 5 O rings. figure I can handle that but sure would like a diagram of it BEFORE I crack it open. It is a 98 Mack CL 700 Dump Truck

Looking for work for two dumps. Went on wild goose chase in LA and now really set back. If anyone has any leads it would be greatly appreciated.

You are right. they seem to be locking those jobs down. I guess it is what it is. I would rather not go thru someone else, but don't really have a choice. Helped my buddy out when he was down due to cancer and cut myself short on winter funds (not complaining, that's just what we should do), I am just gonna have to see what they have to say. There is nothing here and won't be for quite a while. I appreciate the lead.

From what I read they are working in Layfette, lake charles, Houma, and New Orleans.

I have a 98 mack. the cl700. I have been doing levee work here since last year and will start again this spring. I know that the Corp of Eng. recieved funds for enough work to last several... years. I verified it by going to their website, but it doesn't give any leads from there. I have found lots of middle men.

I am trying to head south for several months and work. I know they have levee jobs gong on for several years to come, but I am only finding hiring "agencies" to talk to. Sand and gravel for frac work would do as well, if anyone has any suggestions or info Please let me know. thanks sandy

I was replacing my thermostat and when taking the housing w/filter off the little cylinder w/ball bearing in the end fell out. Before I could see how it went in. Does it go in with the ball bearing end first (towards radiator) or opposite.

I appreciate the help. Found the problem, About 1' down from where the brake light is attached there was a bare spot in the wire.

Thanks guys. I got a copy of one from our local dealer, got it fixed.

I pulled a good one and need help I was putting a new thermostat in my CL700 and as I took off the part that the water filter is on, out slipped a cylinder with a ball bearing at the end (before I had a chance to look at it). I don't know which way it goes back. Does the ball bearing end go in first toward the radiator or opposite? No teasing because I don't know the names of alot of the parts

I was wondering if anyone had a fuse box diagram for a 98 mack CL 700. I am having some electrical issues and it would be helpful to know what is where. Not to push my luck but, a wiring diagram would be awesome too. I assume I have a wire touching the frame or another wire somewhere because when I turn my headlights on it throws the breaker and I loose my dash lights and tail/brake lights. Sometimes I can run for hours before it does it and sometimes it happens right off the bat. The roads I have been running lately are gravel and rough so I am sure it is nothing more that something loose, hopefully not in the dash.

Does anyone have a diagram for the fuse box on a 98 Mack CL 700. I am having some wiring issues and it sure would help if I had a wiring diagram in addition to a diagram of the fuse box.
