  1. Good work Bob. I don't ever remember seeing that.
  2. 🤔 so you're saying the impatient driver has been around over a hundred years.
  3. I don't know if they were charging the compressor intake from the intake manifold back then.
  4. That line going to nothing (if it is) is a huge manifold pressure leak.
  5. The tip fan works on excess manifold pressure. You'll never even notice the little that bleeds off the manifold pressure to spin the tip fan, and the cooler air just helps overcome it anyway.
  6. I don't ever remember manifold pressure bleeding off into the overboard breather. (I could be wrong)
  7. Has that engine run with that on there ? Only other thing vented into there (at the valve covers) I ever remember was the oil filter housing.
  8. That is a beautiful truck. No way you could do that to one for the asking price either. Lots of money, but lots of truck.
  9. There's a cylinder on the pump that goes into the pump and limits the rack's travel. Should work from air to the reversing relay when the parking brakes are released. No air from to the reversing relay, no puff limiting. This way the rack is ablr to go into the full fuel position for cold starts. (assuming you're parking brakes are set). I doubt stuff is available to fix it if it's not working. I don't think the relay is servicable and the diaphram and shims for the protrusion into the pump, good luck. Who knows, might hook it all up and it works ? Usually took a little trial and error to shim them.
  10. If I remeber , Some of the extended range transmissions also had a signal from the transmission when you had it in the lower gears so it wouldn't let it go into full fuel. Like when it was in low and reverse in a six speed.
  11. Wait Bob, there's several years to come where more and more nonsence will be brought out in the light. These clowns aren't quite done performing just yet.
  12. I think he's trying to confirm the easiest place to get into the intake for a manifold pressure gauge.
  13. If only I knew how to post that thing of that thumberg girl saying " how dare you "
  14. Someone's gonna get creative with polish here on a packer, except instead of a roo......it'll be laughing hyena.
  15. This must be painful for whoopy to watch. Poor whoopy
  16. If the puff limiter works and is shimmed correctly, it should have minimal smoke and run about as good as it's gonna run. That "gizmo" would have got air when the parking brakes were released and then it would regulate the rack's travel according to manifold pressure. Over fueling is never good. Looks cool when you're 23 or so..... then when you pay for it a couple times, not so cool.
  17. That's the reversing relay for the puff limiter if I'm not mistaken. Any port that's already in the intake manifold will work. Not a good idea to have too much brass as it tends to crack. Looks like there's no puff limiter on it the way it is, use that port and remove the relay ???
  18. I bet rachel will be looking for something to do now. Him and mayor pete.
  19. no comet...... "no comment"? I think this is a perfect example of a picture being worth a thousand words. 40 years and still ready to get it done.
  20. Might have to retro a different assist cylinder on there. Most I've seen use some form of ball and socket joint.....like on Western Stars.
  21. That video reminds me a little of those guys racing the B trains. Literally a scream'n six. ty
  22. Maybe retrace your steps through changing the lines ? Are you sure the new lines are restriction free ? Back on where they belong ? If that's the area where you didn't have this issue until it was touched , I'd revisit those steps before looking for some other explanation. One thing's for sure, the turbo isn't going to live too long spinning without oil. Not doing the rest of it any good running without oil either.
  23. That must have been quite the truck back when that was new. Glad to see it getting some love.
  24. Discs are a whole other size. I'm learning about this lately. Just changed some on my T880, they're like 24/18s or something. Really need to pay attention anymore. Mix'n anything is a fast way to no brakes.
  25. Air chambers can be confusing since there's so many different ones that have become popular.
