  1. No
  2. Most long strokes have a square form around the ports for the air ( service and spring ) Geometry is all different for regular and long stroke. They make'm though.
  3. I'm with Vlad on this one. The cam and wedge system of the Mack along with overall design of the double reduction rears.... then throw in walking spring suspension, all adds up to a truck that had the ability to walk through all kinds of terrain. Personally, I never understood why they even added air lockout to the Mack power divider. Even with air lock, it's still doing it's thing. Unless it's worn out.
  4. If I was a wise a$$, I'd point out they were chain drive back then ๐Ÿ˜‡
  5. Eazy JoJo. I think I even got splattered with blood on that one. (95 years ago) ๐Ÿคช
  6. Lots of outter cam missing there.
  7. That sticker is way newer than the truck.
  8. That's a little tiny direct 15 speed. Probably called a thirteen cause a couple of the LoLo ratios overlap with ones in low range.
  9. Makes me think about a sticker I saw once. Said "a man and his truck, it's a beautiful thing" Once again , it's nice to see a guy enjoying a truck as somewhat of a hobby.
  10. Jojo.....this one is a moving target (lol)
  11. Might not be the worst thing, but in some cases the techs suck ( one month at Freightliner...couple months later at Kenworth ) or the service "writer" determines the tech can't actually do the repair (lol) or if you're lucky, a combination of both, plus the ever knowledgeable factory technitan that answeres the volley of emails and reviews the diagnostics sent to them then determines what the problem is. Proprietary stuff wouldn't be the worst thing if they could actually get the !#ck'n thing fixed. Doesn't seem to ever work out that way often. First and foremost though.....make sure there's payment for every inch of this whole process.
  12. F.... IDK if it's engineers or the board of directors.
  13. Did you drain anything ? Rears..... transmission ??? and look for pieces . I didn't read anywhere where you looked to see if any metal was in any of them or stuck on magnets on the drain plugs. That broken mount makes me think even more at some point it was tweeked out pretty good, making me believe even more there's a broken tooth on something from being shock loaded. You need to remove the drain plugs and look for debris. And don't be afraid to stick your finger in there and swipe around the drain hole. I think you're gonna find something in one of it's components . Sorry to be blunt, but there's no magic wand or $25.00 fix on this one.
  14. The B Model thing is over. Nowhere near as many guys left from that era that are interested in them. Lots of good buys for a guy who is interested in them though. Kinda sad in ways.
  15. Giants were Osterland Diamond Reos. That little girl is from when they were part of White still.
  16. If it makes the same noise in it's direct gear (7th) in this case it's likely not the transmission. Clicking at even intervals usually is a tooth missing. Has anything been drained and checked for metal?
  17. That was a Cummins wasn't it ? With components on it I think it'll be over a ton. I'm sure you know it, but last thing you need is to get hurt. That engine is too much for a 1 ton chain hoist. That's how we woulda done it when we were 25 and knew everything ๐Ÿ˜‚
  18. Ahhhhh. I need to get my mind out of the gutter. Good to see the truck's working out like you were hoping for after the surprises in the begining.
  19. My guess, the two together be right around 4000 pounds. Most likely a couple hundred pound under that. @ 2500 for the engine with stuff on it (manifolds and all) and somewhere @ 700 for the transmission.
  20. Nevermind the hat, what's up with that licence plate on the front says "sex" ?
  21. Been reading this all along, really no words for it all. Sickening what's going on. Talk about life altering events.... God bless you all there.
  22. Interesting point
  23. I had one once, acted like that. It was the drive gear spun on the auxilary drive. Actually, I had 2 did that. One the compressor seized up and did it, and one just did it. It's only a pressed fit . Geoff is right, air leaks can fool ya too. Seem maybe not so bad, but they'll ruin ya.
  24. That "tree" has produced some real fruits. harris, hilary, pelosi, aoc. any slob from the view......
