  1. Maybe I'm like a ten year old, but big mike is right up there with farts as far as a source of humor.
  2. Seems you're quite versed on the fourteenth ammendment. So I'm sure you're aware it was from back around 150 years ago. I believe based on citizenship of children of slaves. Truth is it all should have been revisited back in the begining of the 20th century. I guess all that's left for me to say is I can only wish someone was a passionate about my birthrights I've seen go away since I was born. I'm a citizen, least according to my 1040 and every other tax I'm obligated to pay. Can't go to work and drive my truck without a seatbelt..... but who cares. Can't chose what lightbulb to put in my house, but hey.....I'm a citezen with rights . It's for the greater good ...right ? There's a lot of people have a hard time hearing about all these "rights" afforded to everyone else coming and trampling all over the lives we've all paid into and watch all the freebees handed out by those who never lived in the reality of most of our worlds. Little other part of history. When Jefferson Davis ran for cover after all this 14th ammendment and all, he did it in a dress. Now ? the nonsense that needed to be addressed a long time ago and is now there are guys in dresses run'n for cover. Let's see how it all plays out and respectfully disagree for now.
  3. Is there one for big mike
  4. Perhaps, but most likely they were documented at the least . The crazy nonsense that's been going on the last four years isn't all that relevant to the fourteenth amendment. If I'm not mistaken the fourteenth amendment was done during slavery. Doesn't mean you sneak in, spawn and everyone is a star spangled citizen. It's a huge overreach and it's long past the time it should be reeled in.
  5. Me too
  6. I wasn't there or anything, but I'm pretty sure you didn't get off the boat and tell them " I'm just gonna walk around and see how it goes "
  7. Yeah. Go through Ellis Island....all on the up and up. Not that I care in any way, but my surname isn't even what it's supposed to be. I know in my case, first generation (my Father and Uncles) went to WW2. Which in my case meant they were fighting where their parent came from. Now ???? ya sneak in....get a prize. It's not right, abused from every angle. All these birthright guys think it's so great, take'm to your house to live.
  8. One thing you didn't mention. Your Grandparents (and mine) had to have a sponcer here and some kind of plan ( for lack of better terminology ) They didn't just come here, procreate and lived happily ever after. Also, if people who came here in that manner didn't feel the need to assimilate as best they could.... guess what happened. There's laws for all these situations, but for some reason there are those who think they're up fro interpretation or judgement calls by unelelcted people. Until new law is passed, old ones still need to be enforced.
  9. In the grand scheme of things, I think outta tens of millions that came in, there'll be tens of thousands able to pick a tomato or apple. It's the weed'n out the dingle berries that have been in charge the last few years that need to be focused on.
  10. I was watching that before it showed up here. I didn't know it was a four wheel drive. Could you imagine driving that in conditions that required 4 wheel drive ?
  11. That one in RZ's video is a 4 wheel drive ?
  12. Welcome. You might be surprised how much we love pictures, and would appreciate if you posted them. Many discussions and memories come from pictures.
  13. That's the vacuum doing that. No vacuum on turbo charged diesel. ( well no enough to do that ) Even just the energy of the heat of the compressed air in a diesel counts for something, even without fuel. The little Cummins boy really was a genius.
  14. I can't help but wonder what would happen if you had to stop fast bobtail 'n . Or maybe they don't even have brakes on the steer.
  15. Nice collection of Macks there in that picture. Thanks Bob. It's not all about chrome and glitter.
  16. We're talking about the Stealth Brake. They were and exhaust brake used along with a Jake. Sometimes, directly on the outlet of the turbo, and sometimes downstream under the cab. They were back in the E7 period in the later "90s before the E Tech. PacBrake also had versions of them called the Super Pacbrake. Not to be confused with a Super Jake (Caterpillar) Like was pointed out before, E6s......they weren't very big displacement wise. So expecting one to work like a Cummins of the time is unrealistic. That's just based on size alone, let alone the better timing control of the exhaust valve opening during operation being triggered by nice big injector rocker on a Cummins.
  17. Little more to the exhaust brake part. One of the reasons was so with a Jake, the face of the exhaust valve would be "preloaded" allowing more lash in the setting of the Jake. This allows the piston to travel further on compression stroke and when the valve is bumped off the seat there's more effect. You can get away setting the Jake a little looser than spec, but .... Those exhaust brakes were also rough on the turbos. Up until the Power Leash, a working Dynatard had comparable power to a Jake. Jake was just much easier to have in working condition.
  18. Uh ha ha whoa....cool uh ha ha 😂
  19. I personally have never seen a Rogue.
  20. bet ya there's a Gold Comet under that hood
  21. IDK Mech, the heavy diesel Diamond Reos were pretty much a Diamond T
  22. I have a picture of a beautiful '73 in my office. I know the family that bought it new and had it until the late '90s. When I was a kid, I had no idea there'd be a time I'd be putting heads on it. Never dreamt I'd be the guy orchestrating the sale of it either. I have a soft spot for Diamond Reos
  23. Been trying to snag this for several years
  24. They looked great with a dump body . Not to say they didn't look good in other applications.
