  1. I was Google's with all my might when I saw this. I thought I understood that they were subjected to safety inspections. Looking to see if they had brakes and all that good stuff. Things were so much simpler back at station 51 for Roy and Johnny.
  2. That'd be comical except for they'd probably take it seriously.
  3. I've been looking at the pictures at the beginning of this thread. I'm I seeing things or is there a speedometer sensor on the output shaft of the transmission ?
  4. This one shouldn't be a problem. Like you said, you can't assume anything. Like when they instruct you to fill in where it " axes " weights and such.
  5. I need to go to Harrisburg for a title. I'm not looking forward to it.
  6. So what you guys are saying is there are (?) actually people who don't eat sleep and breath truck stuff ? 🤔
  7. Maybe The Donald is telling him he's going to expose big mike
  8. I love the new hairstyle on Shmuckerburg He's looking more like one of those problem white males they say are the problem with all of American society.
  9. I don't know if that's the actual cost, but it wouldn't surprise me at all. It's t the point now when some part is cheaper than you thought you're surprised.
  10. The picture looked like it had bolts in the four already. Wouldn't surprise me at all if the parts were over half the cost. I could see that bracket being close to $1000.00 in 2024. Then the frame bracket and plate that goes with it. Probably couple hundred at least in flange nuts and bolts that actually belong on it. Stuff is nuts what it costs.
  11. Never saw one. Even back closer to that era. I don't even remember hearing of them. Really do learn something new every day.
  12. Never saw one.
  13. That truck in the pictures has 46s
  14. Nevermind the axle repair. How about that ornate metal work on the body ???? Panelite Shmanelite....some nice stuff right there.
  15. I don't even know what that is.
  16. I could see that. They'd be less than ideal for blacktop or anything requiring lots of stop and start. In soft ground, they'd be lousy. I think they do ok if you're on the highway a lot. Crawl'n around.....not so much.
  17. Not looking good for the 992 run'n any time soon.
  18. Don't worry. If there's some way to destroy them, I have every faith guys will figure that out too.
  19. I know the '10 EPA engines do. then the "17s are common rail. Not sure about the one in between. They sorta remind me of where the grey engine stopped. I guess that's the European design ???
  20. I've never driven a truck with an automatic in it. IDK if I'd buy one with anything but a manual, but that's only by my choice. They came a long way with automatics and automated manuals.
  21. I aquired a T880. Bought it to flip it. It needed a little help here and there. It's a Paccar with an Ultrashift 13. I drove it around a little , and there;s no debating it's a pretty nice truck. Keep in mind, they make better appointed trucks than this particular one, and even at that it's hard not to like it. Haven't been in a newer Mack, so I can't really say much about them, but that T880 is a pretty nice dump truck. Mine is on Primax and it rides unbelievably good. I'm all for traditional trucks, but if this is what there is to choose from now ???? I could adjust.
  22. Never would have thought 20 years ago they'd be what they are now.
  23. The 565 Cummins is pretty popular and they run pretty good. Macks? 505 . The trucks with the Detroits, I'm thinking their 13 liter is around 500 and their big bore is like 600. All of them have a lot of torque anymore, especially from off idle into the 12 to 15 hundred RPM range. You'd be surprised if you were to try any of them. The X15 is the hot one though.
  24. It's a 510 🤭 it's no ISX. It's got plenty of power , an awesome engine brake, and you don't have to drive it like a totally gay guy to get good mileage with it. Plus they're several hundred pounds lighter than a big Cummins. Cheaper initially. Support for them sucks, and they're a huge turn off at resale time.
  25. It's a tri-axle. It's only an MX13. The 1750 is the latest and probably the last design. If I'm not mistaken, the first gear isn't 2 to 1. It's just a little lower than what was always "under" then they still have a little bitty overgear ( like .87 or something ) there's no real reason I want it other than I just want a 6 and a four. 1241 would work fine too for me.
