  1. If only I had the funds... http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=2237008
  2. I HIGHLY doubt that Obama will get re-elected, regardless of what happens but especially if this crap passes. Unfortunately, I don't think anything real will happen until term limits come to fruition.
  3. I've got the same problem, sometimes it'll pull like a raped ape, others it's just damn sluggish-more often than not. Mine's going to the 'doctor' on monday for a checkup. I don't know if I have a turbo bad or the pump is bad, either way there's 702k on the original setup. My dealer won't take the time to hook it up to the computer and check on the settings, this place will and he'll work with me being a picky bitch.
  4. Ha...well, either way I think it's shot. If you get a GOP and/or a more conservative congress with obama then nothing much will get done....wait, that much less will end up f*^&d up. Bonus?
  5. Ahhh...how do I explain...it'll 'free'(?) rev to 2100 but it won't make any power (build boost or whatever) past 1800...? For example, I can go in reverse(no load) at 2100rpm...but driving down the road it'll quit 'pulling'(boost tails off etc) at 1800.
  6. I think that since people finally pulled the covers off their faces and now see Obama as nothing but useless coupled with his failed 'regime'...the democrats are coming together to ram this crap down our throats as one giant middle finger because they've got nothing to lose now...they're going to lose their majority this fall.
  7. Drop a dime to your local dealer with your VIN#...they'll be able to tell you. OR, crawl underneath and chisel away 10 years worth of grease, mud and other assorted shit to find the numbers on the side of the carrier.
  8. I didn't get it going that fast. It had tall 24.5's and at 55 it was 1350rpm in top gear. My truck w/3:86 and tall 22.5's is 1475rpm at 65mph...and I don't think it pulls (it'll rev, but not pull) beyond 1800rpm.
  9. The current govenator is from the same kountry in which Hitler was born...
  10. Double L was usually johnny on the spot for the rules and regs. Suprised he hasn't chimed in.
  11. Are you offroad a lot more than on or what...5:04's? Just go buy an old 6x6 and slap a 5th wheel on it. Last summer I looked at a cherry '00 CH w/460 13sp and 4:17 rears, the low gears broke the sale for me. I want be able to do 70-75 and have enough left for 85, case there's a car load of naked ladies flyin down the highway.
  12. Then my 1997 will be antique shortly thereafter. I think it's 2014 in Kalifornia everything will require a particulate filter. BUT...with any luck, by then the 'big one' will have hit that state and it'll be on its way to the bottom of the pacific and it'll allll be a moot point.
  13. When in doubt tach it out! That'll be the two main things I look for in my next truck...lockers and some wheelie poppin horsepower..maybe a jake brake thats worth a shit.
  14. Pretty soon you'll end up with a version 5.0 Shoulda consulted first before the product came out...
  15. Where the hell do you go where that's needed??? lol I'd be happy with full lockers.....aaannnnnndddd 600+hp. I just spent the afternoon putting a new radiator in the truck, couple new air horns...next is to rig up the fog light switch for my 'chicken' lights and then some full fenders...
  16. Yellow isn't my FAVORITE...but it's close. If I could find a truck, or wanted to repaint mine I'd do it in a pewter-ish color, mix between silver and tan. If I had a few more shiney things on my truck it'd make the yellow stand out and compliment it well.
  17. Why not just slide some 2 speed rear ends underneath your truck? 36 speeds! I wish my 18sp had a normal speed reverse...it just creeps.
  18. I was being sarcastic about the 10sp. They don't have many options when it comes to cruising speed, you either wind the $hit out of it or lug it. I drove 10 speeds for a few years, now I have an 18sp and love it...there's a gear wherever I need it.
  19. I have pressure checked it, blocked the exhause side of the turbo and all. The only leak I've ever found was the air compressor intake tube that runs behind the motor, replaced that and all is well. The truck is slooow to respond, slow to spool up, all around sluggish. Maybe the turbo is bad, I don't know.
  20. That's the beauty of a 10sp. I think the newer ISX's and especially the Cat Accert motors have a very narrow powerband and the high(numericaly low) gear ratio is needed to keep the motor at 1300-1400rpm at cruising speed to get decent mpg.
  21. ...That's what she said....hey-ooooh! I've ridden in a truck w/auto, didn't care for it much. It might be a different story if it was strictly a pavement pounder, but in this case it was off-road hauling corn out of a field. Anyhow...I can't believe nobody has come up with something in the aftermarket. I've read where guys have just 'unplugged' the EGR in an ISX...and with a Cat you can buy all kinds of different resistors for boost, fuel temp and so on...all to essentially disarm the emissions aspects that are programmed into the computer and give full power/fuel/smoke/boost. With as many Macks that are on the road and for the myriad of problems the ASET has had, you'd think at least ONE guy would've pulled it off and made a fortune. Maybe that's what FJH and Mackpro are gunnin for...
  22. How about if a guy puts that plate in and puts a regular turbo on...can that VGT crap be programmed out of the computer or no?
  23. How bout this one...? http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=2324722 And here's about the nicest daycab Mack I've found on truckpaper...though it's a bit out of my price range and has a 10sp. http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=2305224
  24. I've checked checked and re-checked all that. Just keeps gettin doggier... 702k miles and the fuel system hasn't been touched, I'm sure its due for a check-up.
