I know that the pyro max is 1200 deg, but I'm sure that's not a sustained 1200. My truck constantly/quickly climbs to 1000+ on a regular basis. Just curious if the cause can be in the injection pump-retarded/off timing..?? I was going to make an appointment at Midwest Diesel Injection, they say they've got a diagnostic code reader deal that they can plug in to the truck and adjust things and what not. How much info can be gathered before the pump has to come off and be checked out...? I was thinking of having them replace the injectors and pull the pump as they can bench test them and calibrate.

I wish I could find a daycab all snazzed up like that. I rarely see any Macks all decked out...never a daycab tho. When you get your 5th one bought, lemme know. lol Wonder how Mackpro68 is doing with his EGR experiment...

Hmm...$12,000 discount 9 months later...too bad that doesn't happen when you have something else 9 months later... I wonder why you'd put 10 durabrite$ on though...? Funny how it works...that 2004 Vision the dealer was trying to sell to me for $39,000 2 months ago is now 'on sale' for $29,000...the price I offered originally. Maybe I'll go offer him $23,000...

Sonofabitch, I had my reply all typed out and my computer went on the fritz trying to look at that naiminomack website...PDF's don't go. Anyway, I didn't think it was that easy. If you think you can make it work, go for it. Do your part to help your president bring unemployment down in this country. If I was single/no kids and was given a truck with some serious horsies and loooong legs, I wouldn't mind going OTR occassionaly...get out of IL anyway and get paid to do it.

Ha...I've often wondered that too. Lotta shiney iron hauling logs. Two of them have pulling trucks, BIG bux. They all have Harleys, brand new pickup trucks and so on. I suppose those are perks of having a long standing family business handed down to you. I think they put a lot of un-necessary 'suspense' or what have you, into those shows. But I'm sure they figure with no drama no one would watch. -

Just curious how hard it is to swap the column out of my truck for one from a late '00-03 truck? I like the way the new style tilts/telescopes, way more than what I've got. Geigertruck.com has some for $300-400 a piece. I know some will read this and go...wtf? I just want to know if it's a direct bolt in and how much hassle it'd be. TIA.

I realize I bring nothing to the table on this particular topic of discussion and it's unfortunate to find spare parts in your oil pan. I've got a Motorola Tundra phone...EXCELLENT phone but when you have a cover on it the camera 'lens' gets all crapped up. Pictures turn out mediocre at best.

I see them with aluminum wheels way more often than without. I think I need to buy another camera to keep in the truck with me...I see some picture worthy stuff fairly often too, but the camera on the phone sucks. Maybe I should buy an I-Phone...or is it I-Fone...or is it Eye-Phone?
