  1. And he's only been on here for 6 months! Maybe I need to give that post whoring thing a try...pad the stats for a bit. Or get on the juice like McGuire and get sum speedy fingers.
  2. Here's what I need... http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=2261581 Or this... http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=2237008

  5. Maybe I'll
  6. Conceal and Carry will never come to IL until Chicago becomes the 51st state. They're all cut from the same mold. Nothing will pique my interest until term limits across the board are implimented. Anyway, what initially chapped my ass about the whole thing is that I get these calls on my cell phone.
  7. You're gonna have to 'splain the CTI to me.
  8. If only mine were that SHINY. Crap, I got it washed today...looks like a whole different truck!
  9. Mine's a 97 with a gold dog. 38k rears with 3.86 gears 18sp and just an air power divider. Makes for a nice cruisin speed...1575rpm @ 70mph. I wouldn't go any lower (numerically higher) than that next time around. I don't think I could justify the heavier rears either. I don't haul anything heavy, just adds to the tare weight... Rowdy and I and whoever else do different work than you do poundin the pavement all day every day. Takes a whole different set-up sometimes.
  10. Dammit, you beat me to it. I think Blago is trying to state his case for insanity...not over the top, but making it clear.
  11. Liberal or not, they all can go. I got a phone call earlier tonight...It was Bill Brady who's running for IL governor (I think)...he was having a tele-conference phone call town hall meeting whatchamacallit. "Please press *3 to ask a question" I ask, "how the fuck do I get off your call list?" I got the boot RIGHT away.
  12. Nice unit...glad to see you're thinking of me w/the color. I like the dash too...mix between new and old I guess... Think I'm gonna go with a Petercart next tho...
  13. This is better yet... http://washingtontimes.com/news/2010/jan/07/letting-crooks-illegals-vote/?feat=article_top10_read
  14. People keep perpetuating it...it'll never go away.
  15. Or maybe go into the archives and find a Clinton/Gore sticker...
  16. First truck I drove for hire had one of those...that thing couldn't catch a cold. Second truck had an ISM...same displacement I think, but totally different engine...it had 425hp and it ran pretty well for what it was. Anyway...Bigen...somewhere you have to draw the line at where too much money fixin isn't worth it anymore. To me, it's worth more payment a month for some peace of mind. The payment you can budget around, the seemingly endless repairs you can't. If I was in your shoes I'd maybe bite the bullet.
  17. Maybe I'll find a Sarah Palin sticker for it next...

Maybe I'll move to Nebraska or whatever other insignificant state that got away with getting all this shit for free. It's too bad that more people vote for that dumbshit American Idol show than for their own elected representatives. Maybe they see the idol show as having more of an effect on their daily lives than some bullshit healthcare bill. F*&k...what am I thinking...where would the world be without Kelly Clarkson, Chris Doughtry and that other crappy country singer...the hell's her name...? The fact that we're getting forced into paying for something we either can't afford or don't want to afford is ok though.
  20. The 6 years or so of experience I've had with driving an IH wouldn't scare me into buying one. I drove a 9200 for a year or so and a 9900i for about 5 years. They weren't the fanciest things on the road but that 9900 was probably the worst riding truck I've ever drove. Rode like it had concrete wheels bolted right to the frame. They're not a bad looking truck when done up right...though there's one for sale on truckpaper.com that I'd consider...C-15 475hp. Maybe it's because I was raised to think that I need the most powerful, biggest motor available in said vehicle...but Mack doesn't quite do it for me in that dept.
  21. When in doubt, tach it out.
  22. Ahh shit...I forgot he had Fords. THAT repair fund is cleverly disguised at the Mack repair fund. Found On Road Dead.
  23. Sounds like you need to vote some more democrats in to take the rich peoples' money and give it to you. Since the gov't pissed away all that TARP money and bailouts and so on...AND since I just took a hit off the imaginary crack pipe...too bad they couldn't have just divided up that trillion dollars evenly amongst EVERY TAX PAYER...must be legal, working, paying taxes and verifiable proof that there are absolutely no illicit addictions (drugs, gambling). I heard one figure thrown out there that it would've amounted to about $100,000 per person. You could've paid off most of your house and truck and then been able to make more, spend more on crap to really stimulate more that just what's in your woman's underpants. At any rate, my truck will be paid for in less than a year, so I'm happy I guess. The bank knocked off 1/4% of the interest rate for direct withdrawl (if I knew what that was I wouldn't have kids!...nyuk nyuk). But at any rate....You have a Mack truck, your repair fund should consist of only the occassional light bulb and windshield wiper.
  24. Just gonna take a blind shot in the dark here and say those guys are....phucked, bad. I know little to nothing about lease/purchase programs but enough to read between the lines in that article.
  25. Are you talking about the range shift or the splitter shift(gray button)...? I have the Mack 18sp also...the one with the god awful slow reverse, not sure on the number of it. The splitter quit working on me (stuck in 'high', hissed air on the low side)...ended up being 3 o-rings bad in the air cylinder that moves the fork back and forth. It was a pretty big pain in the ass to fix, but I did it myself. It also makes a hell of a growl the first time I shift ranges in the a.m. After that it works fine. The hydraulic pump growl you hear is the cold cold oil...it's so thick that the pump can't draw enough in vs. what it puts out...when you run up the rpm's you should notice the trailer actually going up slower. Usually I'll put a half gallon or so of diesel fuel in the oil tank to thin it out. I had a starter issue too a couple months ago...ended up getting one of those Mitsubeeshee (can't spell Japanese) starters put on it. A while before that I put batteries in. It never ends does it...?
