  1. Looks like a little armor-all, paper towel and q-tips are in order...
  2. 'Bout the only time I split the low side is when I'm puttin around a quarry or something and I want to shift up but am too lazy to move the stick. The few times I have split the low side under power, I can see how some serious damage can happen if in the hands of a driver trainee type.
  3. Check that air compressor intake tube that runs around behind the motor... Take a flashlight and feel up the hose(or hoes) and I bet there's a hole in it on the passenger side where the bellhousing meets the back of the motor... On mine a middle finger sized hole equaled 10lb boost loss...but the noise was pretty noticable. Pretty ass-in-9 design.
  4. So then I've got to ask...What's the point of a 13sp...??? I bet the answer is 'driver preference'...
  5. When I had to take the top of the trans off the truck to change those o-rings for the splitter valve doo-dad, I had to take all the exhaust pipe out from underneath the cab and had the hole around the shifter removed...took it for a test drive and daaang...loud! BUT...not as loud as having two straight pipes on last summer. With the windows up it wasn't bad, but as soon as the window was cracked...yikes. So I had those on there for about 3 weeks and put mufflers back on. But I digress...I sold the truck to my dad and bought something different... Soon as I can afford all the parts, there'll be some pipes on it 'cuz it's got a good jake on it...
  6. In my neck of the woods, the drivers of Detroit Diesels would be less inclined to report problems due to the inability to make the language...
  7. All while standing on your head, one hand tied behind your back and reciting your ABC's backwards after naming all 50 state capitals in reverse alphabetical order.
  8. What...whoa...!
  9. Used to be a guy around here who'd rubberband one of his daughter's barbies onto the dog...
  10. Bet he's a container jockey too.
  11. Heard an interesting fundraising angle today on my once in a while venture onto the AM side of the radio... Since they sell naming rights to just about anything nowadays...why not sell naming rights to hurricanes...?

    Rats!

Saw this the other day in Ottawa, IL. It's the Laborer's Union Local out protesting the use of 'scab' labor on work being done at a veternary clinic there. I saw it and couldn't help but laugh and when I look at the picture I took, it's even funnier. Coinciding with this giant rat, they've got a former taxi with 'rat patrol' painted on it. Quite comical.

    Fire...

Since there are many on here far wiser than I, I usually post non-sensical remarks and what not that doesn't bring a whole lot to the table...here's some more...a picture I took while torching built up asphalt out of my trailer. Usually there isn't much and when there is a nice dousching with diesel fuel takes care of it. But lately we've been hauling this god-awful sticky crappy crap. I hate it. Luckily my trailer is half-round and cleans out pretty well. Guys with flat bottom trailers are getting 'free' insulation/bedliners...
  14. I had that problem with my CH when I bought it. The axle was offline...one side further back than the other...and it had a nice gangsta lean to the drivers side. Thought maybe it was a weak spring/busted center pin on the spring. Turns out the shackles were shot and the frame was slightly tweaked. The spring shop put new springs, shackles and a short block under the drivers side spring. It drives well, tracks straight and doesn't have any other weird things goin on.
  15. That's entirely too early...or late. Course when it comes time for titties and beer it's quite alright.
  16. Procrastination is like masturbation...all you end up doing is screwing yourself...
  17. Cracked because he's got peeterbilt wheels on it...
  18. Check ebay, craigslist and so on. I'd imagine people de-bunk trucks more than trucks with bunks are built nowadays since a daycab sells better than a similar truck with a bunk.
  19. Lemme see if I get this right... ROTFLMFAO I don't care who you are, that's funny right there. Too bad he doesn't have his own cell phone so he could've recorded it and posted the link to the youtube video on here.
  20. I've always wanted to take a tour of Texas...maybe I'll apportion plate my truck if you've got a use for a 22' steel dump...
  21. Looks like those two guys with the high rpm trucks need to be bumped up a class. 4,000+ rpm vs. stock trucks is pretty ignorant.
  22. I dunno what will...
  23. Lol...I don't care who you are that's funny right there. I like this one too... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyVsHNEBeBk
  24. Prolly more like this (_(_)
  25. Shee-it...that truck looks brand new anyway...damn that's sharp! Can't say I've seen too many buckets like that one though. What do you haul with it usually? Come out here in a couple weeks when we start pickin corn, I bet we could fit 1200 bushels of corn in it. Unless that's the picture you took right after you bought it and lettered it...
