  1. In 2008 I hauled around 20 loads of dirt a day into that place for about 2 1/2 weeks and gravel for another week or so after that when they built their addition... I became pretty familiar with that god awful railroad crossing, well all of them really, on the way out to rt.6. The only way to do that was about 1 mph.
  2. Ahh...yea, 30. Thanks to everyone... The b-day was good...had family over today and cooked out, ate too much... Nice to see that I'm not quite too old to still get cards with cash in them though.
  3. I bet the picture of that Marmon was taken in Marseilles, IL at Independence Tube...?
  4. I'da showed up late just to watch the attempt though...
  5. Got a stick and MIG here and a shop just big enough to get the tractor in...plus high torque 3/4" gun and other assorted tools to make the hypothetical repair...but it's not a hypothetical 5 hour drive up here... Unfortunately, I know not how to weld...bout the only thing I can't do I guess...
  6. I was thinkin if she had the posi-lockers on that truck she could walk it backwards right out of the ditch...but I digress, how many over the roader trucks are spec'd with full locks...?
  7. You prolly put some miles on that right guard...
  8. Guy I work with pretty regularly has an '07 (I believe) CH 'rawhide' daycab...super super sharp lookin truck with what he says is an Allison auto. The company he works for bought it used from the Mack dealer here and he loves it...but he went from an ant-eater K-whopper to that...so... I remember going and looking at it and had I had $75,000 laying around I'da bought it.
  9. That's almost like when I was listening to 'Love Line' on the radio a few days ago... 'My uh...friend...has these bumps on his dinges and was wondering if it's a problem or not and if he scrubs really hard with soap and water they'll go away..??' Hypothetically speaking, of course... I'd hate to see the beating said truck is taking to crack the axle housing...
  10. 3:30 rear-end ratio...? That's awfully tall...might be able to touch 120mph with that one, though on a down hill. I see it's another '04 with 300-400,000 miles on it... run away.
  11. I've often wondered that too. This one is only a drop in the bucket here. There are 2 dead-end frontage roads and one township road here pretty close to the on-ramps...countless have tried a 3-point turn around and have failed...others back up for upwards of a mile. I guess they need G.O.A.L. stickers on the windshields too...
  12. Stopped at Casey's in town the other day for a pack of smokes before work and stumbled upon this. I didn't stick around for the 'Wrecked' tv show style 2 rotator trucks pick 'em outta the ditch scene...but it happens every couple months there. Story goes it was a husband/wife team, husband was asleep in the bunk while she tried to get 80' of truck through 20' of driveway... Wonder if they teach that in truck driver skool...???
  13. Others do like to take a little pride in their ride though...but don't like driving a ghetto sled...
  14. I'm with you guys on that one too. Most of the stuff on there is over the top. There's a fine line between too much crap and not enough...
  15. Maybe some fast paced fiddles for background music as the video was played in fast motion...for added humor.
  16. I keep 'em strapped to the trailer and in the yard to keep my broker honest...if there's such a thing...
  17. I made the mistake of looking up '2 girls, one cup' when someone told me about it a couple years ago, don't get much better (or worse) than that...
  18. Stoopid tidbit...if you run your a/c on 'max' or re-circulate, it cycles the engine fan on less often because the a/c isn't sucking as much humitidy/heat out of your cabin air, provided you leave the window up also. Just personal experience, never any scientific basis to my comments...
  19. I'd rather sweat my balls off 24/7/365 than deal with snow already...
  20. Can't for the life of me understand why someone would go out of their way to get dayton wheels on their truck. I don't think I've ever seen a set of daytons going down the road true-not wobbling like crazy....just imagine how that feels in the cab, especially on the steer axle.
  21. I've been trying to find someone who'll make me a couple Calvin pissin on stickers for the back window of the truck...one pissing on the mexican flag and the other pissing on mohammad. So far though, I've been unsuccessful.
  22. Just curious about this statement...how's that work...???
