  2. first thing i would do is check coolant level. there is a low coolant switch that will turn on the shut down light.
  3. i hear you on that!! it seems every day here more poo hits the fan, and each shovel full is making a bigger SPLAT!! no matter what i try to do things just back up more. i have been trying to hire a new driver and two laborers for over a year now. no one wants to work because they make more on unemployment with the addons, and the ones that do show up want a brand new truck, 35-40 per hour and 8 hours pay but only work 5-6 hours.
  4. it takes time. when i had the heart valve repair ,i was back at work in 4 weeks. 10 years later the knee took three months. 3 years later the shoulder rebuild had me down for 6 months, and it still is not 100% 4 years later. i am fighting a sinus infection for 4 months now. 10 years ago the same sinus infection was a two week deal. pushing 65 my body lets me know real fast when i am going to try something i should no longer be doing. your body knows what you can and can not do. listen to it.
  5. i only know of one person that allegedly had corona. he tested positive for corona, so they treated him for corona for three weeks before realizing he had a stroke. that was almost 10 months ago, and he just is starting to talk and feed himself again. still cant walk though.
  6. https://www.purplewave.com/auction/210415/item/HR9467/1989-Mack-MH613-Trucks-Rollback_or_Tow_Truck-Missouri currently at $4000
  7. i don't have that problem, because i refuse to give them my email address. when they ask for it is say i don't do computers.
  8. kneepads as president really scares me. even more so than dopey joe as president.
  9. i was just thinking today of hooking the fax machine up to the land line since spammers/scammers can not grasp the phone will not be answered. i still see between 5 and 15 calls on that line every day from out of state numbers.
  10. i wonder if that includes Mack trucks, since they are volvos?
  11. linky no worky
  12. I agree. Pictures, or it didn't happen! 😁
  13. Back in the late 70's I ran a freightliner cab over 400 Cummins with 13 speed. "The Gambler" Man that truck would fly!!.
  14. steel. the weight difference is not enough to matter. one chunk of asphalt in the millings pile is all it takes to poke a hole in an aluminum body.
  15. i feel left out!! 😟 i did not get that email..... but i DID get 78 emails from members here reporting the emails!!! and of course it had to happen today when i spent the past 9 hours under a truck, instead of when i am sitting on my asterisk doing nothing but playing on the computer.
  16. sorry, terry, i am usually on every two hours or so. of course today when the excrement hits the fan, i was under a truck for 9 hours.
  17. oh yea. spotless clean smooth panel, finish coat done, and as you walk to the table to set the gun down you just barely touch the hose, or something else to panel. #$($#(@)@$%#)@)%_#@#) where did that come from??? oh well, i did not want to sleep tonight anyway.
  18. GW, and GVW are the weights the trucks are registered for. NW is net weight, which is what the truck weighs empty.
  19. I learned the "tiger stripe"trick back in 74 when I was cursing a van. Old timer showed me the trick to smooth panels and I have been using ever since
  20. Streak the primer with rattle can flat black paint. It will help when final sand fo perfect flat surfaces. Simply long board until the black is gone, and the panel will be perfectly flat.
  21. Mercury and Fargo are Canada models. Mercury is Canadian ford, Fargo is Canadian Dodge. 1968 was last year for Mercury, 1972 was last year for Fargo.
  22. agreed 3/8 is way too thick for overlay. if the floor is in decent shape, 1/8 is fine. if it is real rough, 1/4.
  23. have they determined what strain you have, or is it just "corona"
