  1. so true Terry. when i questioned the increase i was told i was at risk for a major accident and tickets because i have driven for 50 years without receiving a ticket, and never had an accident.
  2. yes you read that rite. Remington offered 1 million square foot of manufacturing space to make whatever he needed, but instead he bought everything from china because Remington Outdoors makes guns.
  3. i had prudential/highpoint for both house and trucks for over 30 years, but over the past 5 years the price went through the roo. even with a spotless driving record. last fall i switched to nj manufacturers for 1/2 the price, and better coverage. i use condon/skelly for all antiques.
  4. governor ̶a̶s̶s̶h̶o̶l̶e̶ i mean cuomo was offered 1 million square foot of manufacture space for free by remington, and he declined because they make "tools of death" and instead bought the items from China.
  5. there was not a presidential election planned for 2017 where the politicians wanted to get rid of president trump for doing what he was elected to do.
  6. that truck was built back when truck drivers were men..... not tight jeans flip flop wearing steering wheel holders.
  7. i like the steering wheel holders in dumb trucks that run with warning light on at all times. ahhh dude, torn off the freaking warning lights........oh no, they are on for safety. the only time i turn them on is if i am on the shoulder of an active road. otherwise they are off.
  8. i wonder if the federal runs and would survive a cross country trip? 😆 i would not mind having that in the yard, but it is about 3000 mile too far to drive home.
  9. mainly because they do not make them anymore. i have seen a few with dump bodies.
  10. "how can people get in touch with you if you have no phone" send me an email. if they don't have my email address, than i don't want to talk to them anyway.
  11. i don't have that problem anymore. i have not had a phone that accepts incoming calls for the last 5 years.
  12. yup. my bet is the only thing that is going to make this go away is the upcoming presidential election later this year.
  13. and when he did this tv deal, he had 100,000 ventilators horded in a warehouse. when it became known, he said why should i release the ones i have when the government should supply them. he is a typical no good lying democrat P.O.S. that only cares about himself.
  14. sounds like a fun one!!
  15. i hear ya Dave. i am very comfy in my gas heated house with running water and electric lights. but the big difference between us and others is we know how to survive once the sheit hit the fan and there is no power, running water, gas, or food in the stores.
  16. i remember as a child going to my mothers grandmothers house in the middle of downtown Elizabeth NJ. at the turn of the 1900's her grandfather was a produce merchant and had 10 horse drawn produce wagons that delivered around town. the stables and carriage house was in the back yard of the house. even in the 60's the house did not have indoor plumbing, you used the outhouse out by the carriage house. and it still had gas lights, no electricity in the house. coal stove in the cellar with heat chases through the three floors, and a big wood and coal burning oven in the kitchen. it did have "running water" in the kitchen. the kitchen was built on top of the well, and the well pump came rite through the floor with the outlet rite into the giant sink. and the tin bathtub was in the corner of the kitchen with curtain walls around it.
  17. it is great to use, as long as a black widow or brown recluse does not bite you on the asterisk........which has happened a few times in the past.
  18. the stands are still there and doing well, but there have been no hogs on the farm in over 25 years. when i built the big stand out on the main highway back in 78 we could do pretty much what we wanted. but now you can not wipe your asterisk in the outhouse behind the barn without town approval. and speaking of that outhouse, the town wants it taken down because it is not sanitary. even though it has been in the current location since it was erected in 1882.
  19. our production cost was almost zero. we fed the pigs leftovers from the farm . any produce that did not sell that day in the farm stands was fed to the pigs. chickens were pretty much wild, they fed themselves while roaming the yard. the chickens also kept bugs almost non existent.
  20. nice shift indicator Larry. 😆
  21. 5 bucks says if you post this on the internet someone will try it!!
  22. i agree, nothing better than an air starter to make someone unexpectedly need to change their shorts.
  23. nothing worse than a pig that don't want to die. up until two years ago we did a pig roast twice a year. usually around 90 lbs. i have been toying with the idea of making a cuban oven for smaller pigs.
  24. that bring back memories of growing up on the farm. we used to process between 75 and 80 pigs every year. and if we did not have large pigs, the local stores would by 600 pounders and we would pick them up, and butcher them for them. the butcher shop is still there, but rarely used any more.
