when mine did that it was a bad high pressure switch in the AC circuit. a bad coolant temp sensor on the back of the rear head will do it too. -
i want to know: how did he know the person that knocked down the signs was a jackass? it might have been a douche nozzle, or cork sucker.

make sure to get an extended cab truck if you go for a T800. the standard T800 cab is SMALL!! i can touch the passenger side door from the driver seat, and it feels like i am sitting in an airplane the cab is so small. and i am only 6 foot tall.

me thinks he stopped to offer this poor unfortunate lady a ride and she now has him locked up in her sex dungeon -
check the rubber blocks between the springs and the spring caps. if the alignment dowel breaks off in the spring, the rears will shift about 2 inches on takeoff and stop causing the spring to move in the caps until the "T" on the end of the spring hits the cap. easy way to check is to have someone stand along side the truck and watch the wheels as you take off hard and brake. you will easily see the rears move. we bought a 05 Granite one that was bad for so long the springs actually wore a groove into the caps.

seems someone was really pissed at BMT to hack the site twice in two days, and knew when to do it to get maximum effect. if hackers would only put half the effort into finding a job that they do into making other peoples life hard, i bet they would find it is much easier being honest!!!

i know quite a few people with 6.7 powered F-750's. and they love them. they say they are much better trucks than the mercedes powered sterlings.

i have always known them as bathtub bodies too. my 05 kenworth has one on it. as of late though, more and more people are referring to them as "rock bodes" -
i learned that experience 35 years ago with a D-8H. first move i ever made. moved it 35 miles from one job to another. 5 minutes after unloading it it puked the turbo. boss was not that mad, as he said, lesson learned. don't let it happen again. to this day i always make sure i have a bucket or something to put on the exhaust when moving machines.

just found this thread from the last post. the yard used to be Harry Faulks, off Harrison Ave in Kearny New Jersey, on the road going into the Weldon Asphalt plan. i have not been up that way in about 4 years so do not know the name of it now. Harry did a lot of buying and selling all over the country, and some overseas export too. -

pouring at 30 is not a big deal. just tell the concrete supplier to put antifreeze in the mix. most already do when it gets cold. and you may need a few heaters for a few days.

my boss is a different breed of animal. my current T800 has a 475 C13 with an eaton 8II trans. the low boy is a W900 with a 500 C 15 and 18 speed. the T880 has a 550 cummins with auto . and the new T880 he just ordered to replace my T800 is getting the 550 Cummins and auto trans too. he knows larger engine uses less fuel. one of the guys we run with has a T880 with the 370 paccar engine and auto trans, it will not get out of its own way empty. and only gets 3.5 mpg.
