  1. that started around 5 or so years ago. i guess evilbay figured people were too stupid to search for what they were looking for, and would buy whatever was in front of them. that was the main reason i stopped using evilbay. search for 65 falcon hardtop left wing window and get 15,000 listings for everything but a 65 falcon hardtop left wing window.
  2. As was already said, Scania still sells cabover trucks in the United Sates. so does Mack and Freightliner. Kenworth and Peterbilt make medium duty cab overs too. Cabovers are just not a popular anymore because the overall vehicle length restrictions are longer than they were 30 years ago.
  3. jack and coke over cookies and milk?? i like your choice of "refreshment"
  4. copy the link, and paste it into the post reply box.
  5. mine is mounted bottom center of windshield behind the CB.
  6. it is different to say the least. but not bad once you get used to it.
  7. that is the electrical malfunction light. macks version of a check engine light. to retreive the fault codes: with engine running, Turn speed control switch Off, then press and hold SET/DECEL or RESUME/ACCEL switch until EML goes out. After approximately one second, the V-MAC module will begin blinking out its two-digit blink codes. The two digits of each code will be separated by a one second idle time (EML out) Each blink code digit may consist of up to nine on–off flashes. The on and off time for each flash will be 1/4 of a second. Count the EML on flashes to determine two digit blink code.
  8. that pretty much defeats the purpose of having a dash cam. it should be recording the full time the ignition is on.
  9. this is one of the reasons all trucks and cars should have dash cams.
  10. i ran a 237 with a mud stick trans for 9 months in a DM800 with an aluminum body. it would run 62 MPH at 70,000 lbs................ until you hit a hill. then it was 18 MPH up and over the hill.
  11. the bigger the box, the heavier the truck. the way it is set up now is to give proper axle weight for box size. a bigger box, would make it overweight.
  12. weight distribution.
  13. the first thing i would check is radiator coolant fluid level. if the coolant level in the radiator is low, the engine will not stay running.
  14. i am so glad i stay within 100 miles of home shop. 99.99% of the time i within 35 miles of home shop. screw them logs!!!
  15. ya should have slowed down and closed the door on him facing oncoming traffic.
  16. i have seen both petes and kenworths with mack V8 power here in joisey.
  17. not quite true. yes the city botched a water supply switch. but that did not contaminate the city water supply. it is a sad and infuriating story that has gone on for far too long, and it is quite a mess. now for the truth of the matter. Flint decided to stop buying treated water from Detroit, and draw water out of the Flint river and treat it in their own water treatment plant. what they forgot was that 99 % of the houses in Flint had lead pipes from the water mains to the houses. and the water coming out of the Flint river was "harder" than the treated water coming from Detroit. as a result, the water from the Flint river dissolved all the deposits that were lining the lead pipes in the houses, exposing the lead pipes to the water, which in turn introduced lead into the water stream. even after converting back to Detroit water, they still have lead in the water problems because of the lead pipes in the houses. the fix for this is to replace all the lines going from the mains into the houses with copper pipes. the issue is, the city is responsible for the mains. but the homeowners are responsible for the pipes from the shutoff box into the house. and since the problem with 99% of the houses are between the shut off box and the house, this makes it a homeowner problem. but the city is stepping up to the plate and replacing the lead pipes with copper at no cost to the homeowner. they just do not know how they are going to pay for it all yet.
  18. Ken Nagy. related to Almasi Trucking/Contracting. if i remember correctly, he is a son in law. he runs a few different styles of Macks
  19. that 44 looks to be in very good condition!!
  20. well look at it this way. once the idiots remove all statues and mention of the civil war, we can then tell them to go pound salt because slavery never happened when they come looking for reparations.
  21. what engine is in that, a detroit?
  22. at the old job i saw that 4 times out of 15 trucks in 3 years. all caused by drivers not lifting the axle when making turns. they also would loose tires off the lift axles every 3-4 months due to snapped wheel studs from not lifting on turns too.
  23. not to worry about that, if Vlad did take offense to the hildabeast, he would just send his uncle Demetri to break her
  24. check the ground wire going into the plug. on my old 05 the wire was bad. once i re soldered it to the pin everything started working again.
  25. back in the early 90's we had a superliner that had a three stick setup. originally a V8 truck, it was converted to six cylinder 350hp after the V8 blew up. it had the standard "mud stick" setup, 5 speed main, and low/direct second stick. then a third stick for deep reduction.
