  1. looking good. maybe it will be done in another year? 😁
  2. that area is mostly pig and chicken farmers getting forced out by developers and imported town leaders that do not like the smell. my bet is it is either owned by one of the farmers getting forced out, or more likely by a developer that found it on the farm he bought and trying to cash in on someone that saves old things.
  3. ya know what? you may be correct. that was 30 years ago. 12V71 in front and 671 in rear. they were rock/coal pans from Pennsylvania. heavy buggers too.
  4. i used to love the 12V71 in the front of the terex TS 36. perfect heater for those cold winter days. sucked in the summer though, inside the cab got up around 130 degrees.
  5. there was a very big M&G yard in port newark nj. they hauled all the cars that came into and out of the port all over the northeast.
  6. you all should find a way to drive behind any JB Hunt facility and look at the "carnage yard" . the one in East Brunswick NJ has about a 4 acre "carnage yard" and it is usually full of both truck and trailers that are all tore up. usually 75% trailers and 25% trucks. it is plainly visible from the landfill behind it. i always look in whenever i go to the landfill to see new additions or the repair process on the wrecks.
  7. same with milling and paving operations. automatic trans is a gift from god himself!!!.
  8. you can't hurt something they do not have!!!
  9. this is an older video. the original posting of it was longer, with the original poster explaining that the wide spot you see on the left in the beginning out of the pickup was actually the large truck detour, and all this driver had to do was back up and make a left. apparently though, he could not back up straight far enough to be able to make the left after realizing he could not fit under the bridge, so he decided to make the u turn and destroy the truck and trailer.
  10. Volvo. plain and simple. they will not be happy until the mack name is completely ruined.
  11. 115 BPA is very good. here in Joisey you are lucky to see 75 BPA.
  12. can't really tell from the picture
  13. that old "R" model Intercrashional on the right end is a sexy beast too!!!
  14. exactly!! three years ago we got a new areal truck. we could not give the old one away. it only had 17,000 miles on it, but since it was 21 years old no one could take it without having to put close to $200,000 into it for a 10 year recertification extension. so we gave it to the county fire academy for training use.
  15. says rite in the listing price when new was $190,000
  16. agreed. but it is really up to what the seller wants for it, and what the buyer is willing to pay.
  17. 64 Grand Prix.
  18. probably about 95,000 lbs worth of batteries
  19. on my 05, it was the ground wire in the plug going into the cluster. i redid the ground wire in the plug, plus added my own extra ground wire to the cluster to solve the problem.
  20. bus was owned and operated by the town board of education, not a private contractor.
  21. you mean a swift driver?? 😀
  22. yup. if you can get in the cab, figure out how to start the engine and push the button on the auto trans shifter to get it in gear, you got a job. exactly. most of these companies pay $200 per day, usually cash, and the drivers average 14 hours per day. we have a big problem with these guys here in Jersey. Mendez was the company involved this round. D.I.R.T. is the "Swift" of the dump truck industry, then have wrecked over 174 brand new trucks in the past 3 years, and the owner was arrested twice last year for toll evasion as he was trying to leave the country for vacation first time was christmas eve, grabbed at the airport for owing over 2 million in unpaid EZ Pass tolls. claimed it was an oversight. second time 6 months later same thing. over 2 million in unpaid EZ Pass tolls again. only this time one of his ex drivers told the cops he told them to go through the EZ Pass lanes and don't worry about not having EZ Pass. our other headaches are a bunch of south americans who run for the quarries. but they have gotten a lot better about safety and upkeep of the trucks over the past few years. the drivers are still animals who will run over a car if it gets in their way though.
  23. 945 am today, i saw a red T-800 weaving in and out of traffic at a very high rate of speed. over 70 in a 50 mph zone type of high speed. got along side of me and i saw Mendez. you would think after a company truck was in a multiple fatal accident the day before those aswholes would get an idea and drive safer. nope!!!
  24. solid rock under him. looks to me like clearing the pad to drill for a blast.
  25. helicopter.
