  2. in the front where a grill belongs, silly!!
  3. i think with some paint, a little body work to repair rust issues, and maybe get rid of the rear fins and i would run that around to swap meets as a weekend hangout rig.
  4. on the corner of Doremus Ave and Roanoak St. cream cab, black body. it is at Devinos truck salvage. apparently it has been for sale at Tully Constructions yard on Rt 1 in new jersey for the past 25 years for $20,000, and was moved to Devinos a few years ago. looks like it is still in decent shape except for the faded paint with minor surface rust, and the hood, that looks like a gorilla was doing jumping jacks on it. next time i go up there i will try to remember to bring a camera and take a few pictures
  5. according to the mack museum guy all 4X4's were for ups. and a bum knee is no fun. i just finally had mine replaced after 6 years of pain so bad i could not step on the clutch.
  6. here is one thread on them: another one:
  7. that is the exact reason. a vibratory roller will destroy the old soft concrete underlay roadway. a triple drum roller "pinches" the seams. some states even go so far as to require smooth tire rollers that have 15-20 tires on each end instead of large steel drums. the tires are liquid filled, and then there is a large box on the frame where you put weights to make the machine heavier.
  8. and then the civil war will start after they all realize a person was appointed president even though someone else won the election by votes.
  9. just because the losers do not support trump, that does not prevent people from doing a write in of his name.
  10. a lot of states still require a triple drum roller on the job.
  11. 272 "Y" block ford engine.
  12. maybe, maybe not. but there is definitely a better chance for it to fall apart from the rust/rot up there.
  13. FC-190 was only V8 or a few perkins diesel no six cylinders. the FC-170 was available with the 6 cylinder. the FC-190 also could be had with an available automatic trans
  14. actually, the cure was the FC-190. it came with dual rear wheels, a V8, and 4 speed trans.
  15. problem is no title.
  16. old cable blade machine with a johnson bar, i see that someone converted it from pony motor to electric start.
  17. wow!!! what is wrong with it besides being old?
  18. here in jersey if your dump truck does not have a working backup alarm of at least 100 decibel, it fails inspection. and you will get kicked off any job without it working.
  19. yea, really. the best i could ever do with a permit was 14 wide, 74 long, and 210,000 lbs. and i used to do that with a DM-800 with 237/quad box, planetary drives on the rears, and 14/24 rubber on both the tractor and trailer. empty that rig weighed 87,000 lbs.
  20. great little trucks, but seriously under powered with the 4 cylinder and 3 speed trans.
  21. finally figured it out. i had to go to the "flux" theme to see the full settings page where i could turn notifications off.
  22. interesting. i see from left to right: avatar pic, user name, create new topic, notifications, messages, and theme editor. then on far right is search.
  23. sure looks like he has strobe lights mounted on top of the air intakes.
  24. could you possibly explain a little better? there is no bell icon or envelope icon on the top of the page. i went into notification settings, and there are only three choices: A notification when new content is posted One email per day with all new content from that day One email per week with all new content from that week and you must choose one of the three, there is no option to turn notifications off.
  25. i have looked, and can not seem to find a way to turn off notifications. am i missing something, or is there not a way to turn them off?
