with only 148K miles on it, that engine is not even broke in yet. my bet is the knock is a sticky injector from sitting.

correct. 3 pounds, or four 12 ounce cans. and the high pressure switch should shut the system down once the high side hits around 350 PSI

no law requiring fender mount spot mirrors. it is just common sense to have them to eliminate blind spots. just like new yawk city trucks have spot mirrors on the front to see in front of the truck in the blind spot directly in front of the radiator. not a law yet, but a smart thing to have so you do not run over someone directly in front of the truck

my 05 would only throw that code when engine was cold and at idle. once warmed up or revved up it would go out.

my bet is they use them to transport grain and fertilizer instead of paying for trucking.

doh!!! i just noticed that too. i bet that air filter is for the aftercooler air, it looks like the air intake is under the passenger side fender.

in the DM a 300 without the cooler in front of the radiator was called a 285

they are both glider kits. with mix/match parts.

the peterbilt is no "new truck" either. a few things i noticed on that were passenger air horn hanging, passenger window broken,rust on the doors, cut, spliced wires, and it looks like the frame has a tweak on the passenger side rear

my bet is it is going to be a dealer only service item, like the exploder trans is. with no dipstick or fluid fill.

there are 7 or 8 over at FTE that are either done up as trucks or done up as street rods. at least 3 are 4 door cab conversions, and most have newer drivetrains in them.

i remember when the "cash for clunkers" debacle was in full swing, there was a dealership in north jersey that was giving the $4500 for cars on trade for new jap crapboxes. then putting th ecars in the back lot. then the CFC debacle was over he started selling the cars. people were freaking out that he was selling CFC cars instead of destroying them. in particular was a 88 mustang gt with 42,000 miles on it, a 99 crown vic LX with 26,000 miles on it, a newer impalla SS with no miles on it, and a vette. the 4 owners went to the government and turned him in for selling CFC cars. after the investigation was over they realized this dealership did not put in one claim for them as CFC cars. he bought them all outrite and resold them, all legal he then posted a little over a year later that of the 6,000 CFC cars he sold, 90% of them were repossessed for failure to pay. this means the people traded in perfectly good cars that were paid for, on cars they could not afford, then lost and were now riding mass transit instead.
