  1. Paul, is that not what you call your Army corps?
  2. the engine on the DM800 was under the hood with flat firewall. the DM 600 had two cylinders in the cab with the doghouse covering the engine
  3. Roads here are full of brain dead idjiots going down da shaw....already, and it is only 12:30. Parkway and rt 9 bridge over Raritan river in jersey are at a dead stop.took me 45 minutes to go 1/2 mile. And at least 50 cars followed me as I got off to cut through town on my way home.
  4. come on now, there is no such thing as a "quiet" detroit diesel........🤣 unless of course it is taken apart with parts strewn all over the shop
  5. safe travels Vlad!!! we will be patiently awaiting your next round of pictures.
  6. if possible i would go with a 4-71 over a 4-53. much more power.
  7. fuel mileage will be between 1 and 4 mpg. if you are really lucky with a good tail wind you may see 5-6 mpg when running empty....downhill.
  8. needs stacks....with no mufflers so the neighbors can hear you coming and going.
  9. EZ-off oven cleaner is fantastic for removing lettering from paint. dont hurt the paint either.
  10. same with my 15 liter Joey. 8-10 MPG out on the road cruise set. the ISL 370HP is 9 liters.
  11. Little engine. With automatic they are good, but a real slug with the 8LL. We had that 370/8LL combo in the Pete 348, and no one wanted to drive it cause it would not get out of its own way.
  12. My T 880 only has 2,714.3 miles on it. 😁 what engine? I have a 565 HP 15 litre Cummins with the allison roughduty 6 speed.
  13. i have seen mack DM800's with mack, cat, detroit, and cummins V8's , and mack , cat, cummins, and detroit six cylinders in them. i also saw one with an air cooled Deutz V-8 in it.
  14. finally, one that works!! so your new ride is a western star sucker job.
  15. well, when he put it in first, i saw the gauge panel move
  16. Jo jo, they are posting in an invalid format. you can see your onedrive pics, but no one else can
  17. Paul, U and DM had same cabs. the difference was in the firewall. U had engine partly in the cab, DM did not. we had a DM with wrecked cab, dash, roof ,and back wall. (a jerk in a 980 was driving through the yard with bucket up and "did not see it" put the cutting edge into the bottom of the windshield area and ripped the cab off the truck) we put put a used U cabin excellent condition on it. cut the DM firewall out, and welded it into the U cab than put it on the truck
  18. i would either move the gauges or bend the shifter a bit so it does not hit the gauges.
  19. if he does, i will ban both your azzes!!!!! 🤣
  20. Paul, be glad you only have a princess and not a queen!!
  21. You should try new joisey.....50 at 5 am, 85 at 5 pm. Sometimes we will see 25 degree temp swings in 1 hour
  22. is that 37C, or 37F paul? 🤣
  23. i had an 87 F150 stepside come in to the shop once with erratic throttle. 302 with SROD trans. the throttle shaft on the throttle body was so worn out the throttle would bind on full throttle. it also had a massive vacuum leak through the shaft bushings. the guy did not believe me till i showed him. got a throttle body out of a junk yard from a low mile wreck. cost $150 total for diagnosis and repair. it had been to 4 other shops and no one could figure out what was wrong with it.
  24. that would be MorrisMe. they were B21's, both from seattle fire. have the giant Hall Scott engines. his last log on was 2-23-24
  25. cleaning the air here does no good when pollution comes in from other countries. all we can hope for is that once team stupid is replaced we still have a country to run and the new leaders will undo all the policies of team stupid.
