  1. looks like he no longer has pictures on the site.
  2. my friend went through the same crap for the past 6 months with the rental house three away from his, and one two towns away he inherited after his uncle passed away last year. the one on his street he is knocking down to build a new house for his son. the POS "renters" have not paid a penny in 6 months since getting the 3 month leave notice. they tried everything. he had the sheriff serve papers on them to be out by 3-30-24. they told the sheriff to eff off, we know our rites and are not leaving. what they did not read in the eviction order was that it was a demolition eviction, and that on 4-1-24 the house was being demolished. they left for wherever they went during the day to come "home" to an empty lot. called the cops to complain and were told you were ordered to leave. you didn't. not our problem. they tried to sue for lost belongings and were told by lawyers you do not have a leg to stand on. the house two towns away is close to the same, two tenants have not paid in almost a year since his uncle passed. he has the city housing inspector coming monday to do an inspection, and fully knows they will be forcefully removed tuesday morning as the house will not pass inspection for rental property as it has lead paint throughout, improper staircase width and a few other things.
  3. i very rarely use timing marks because they either are unreadable, or simply not there. i time by ear. advance a touch and go for a ride. if it don't ping under full throttle, advance a little more. i keep advancing until i get ping under full throttle, than back off a bit. that usually gives me most power, and still spin over good for starting hot.
  4. for ;points elimination, you really can not beat the pertronix ignitor. uses the factory distributor, cap, and rotor. all you need to do is remove the points, put the pickup in their place, slip the magnet over the distributor shaft under the rotor, and run the two wires out to the coil. after install i usually open the plug gap up a little, and advance timing around 4-5 degrees.
  5. you aint paid to think, you are paid to fix the damn engine!!! 🤣
  6. agreed. the few i have changed did not have removable heater elements.
  7. since we can not buy pure gas here in New Jersey, i use a double dose of stabil, and a double dose of marine stabil. the 4 doses the two compounds lets me store gas for 18-24 months and it is still good. i do not keep it for longer than 24 months though. if there is any left after 2 years it gets poured into the car and fresh is put in storage cans in the garage.
  8. his driving probably explains why there is no hood on the truck either
  9. Would not matter, as that ship was going to india
  10. i use phosphoric acid to neutralize rust. clean as good as possible and get all flakes off. than coat all areas with a good coating of phosphoric acid.( i like ospho brand) let it dry completely. when properly treated the rust turns from red/brown to flat black. that means the iron oxide (rust) is now turned to iron phosphate. i did a test section on an old 4ftX4ft 1/4 steel diamond plate scrap around 15 years ago when i was doing a truck frame to see how it would last unpainted. treated half the plate. it is just now starting to show spot rust on the treated area.
  11. current report is over 20 aftershocks so far.
  12. i WAS here when dinosaurs roamed the earth. as a matter of fact, i rode my pet brontosaur to school.....uphill both ways...........in the snow. and those scientists are full of dung. it was not a "big bang" dust cloud that killed them off, it was our taste of dino meat. we simply ate them all.
  13. after looking at a us geological chart last night i saw New Jersey has had over 30 earthquakes in the past 15 years. over 300 in the past 60 years. lucky for us almost all have been small, in the 1 or 2 ratings. so apparently earthquakes are not as rare here as everyone says they are.
  14. just had an aftershock less than 1 minute ago. just saw on news it was not an aftershock, but a 4.0 centered about 4 miles from the one this am.
  15. today makes #6 that i have felt. and i have to say the one back in 79, and the one in 08 were a lot worse, because i was only 15 miles away from the epicenter.
  16. no, they are not. have you not been listening to the liberal demonrat talking heads? all those people strolling across the southern border are fine upstanding law abiding people. 🤪
  17. who knows??? there are news reports saying the captain is ukranian. than there are all the other sources saying he is no longer on the ship and an indian is captain. with all the BS being thrown out by media and politicians the only ones that know for sure what is true are the people on the ship
  18. first day there were conspiracy nutjobs posting photos of "the bridge" full of cars being blown up, and you can see the charges going off taking the bridge down............the only problem was the bridge in the video was in kerch, between crimea and russia, and that video was two or three years old.
  19. not true. the captain is Indian. and the ship was under the control of TWO port of Baltimore harbor pilots, not the captain.
  20. My dealer is kinda the same. I know the owner. 20 years ago thee service writer came to the waiting room while I was having the oil changer and told me the trans case was cracked and it needed to be replaced...at the tune of $3500. I told him hang on, and called upstairs and asked the owner to please come down. Than told the writer to repeat what he just told me. The owner said interesting. The car is still under warranty . All it needed was a $10 rear seal at the driveshaft. That as also that service writers last day there.
  21. if you hear a ticking noise like a bad belt tensioner when engine is cold and AC is on while standing in front of car, get it to the dealer or mechanic ASAP. i heard it for about three months, but by the time i got to the dealer the engine was hot and noise went away when hot. i left it with them and the next morning the mechanic i knew went out and fired the car up, knew rite away what it was. but he was not aware it was a bad as it was.
  22. water pump on my 18 exploder fell out of it when the mechanic touched it while up on the lift. it had 63,000 miles on it. you have to pull the engine to change water pump on the 3.5 exploder. and as he was taking the exhaust loose, he saw the pipes into the catalytic converters were cracked. so it got new front pipes and cats. $6700 and change bill, all covered under warranty. i did pay $325 to have full trans service done on it because there was no record of trans service when i bought it.
  23. i was trying to be polite Bob.
  24. interesting how they claim "the largest crane barge on the east coast" is on the job. the Left Coast Lifter is almost twice as large. with a 1929 tons lifting capacity compared to the 1000 ton chesapeake 1000 they are calling the largest on the east coast.
  25. the pedofile in charge needs to take a train ride over the scott key bridge..............again like has has done many times before.........only this time he actually needs to do it instead of just think he did it.
