  1. you should be able to see engine hours in the computer control panel under engine info.
  2. good theory. but since then demonrats can not find any of the 15 million illegals running free here even when they are doing all the sheitz around their own houses they dont want to do themselves, what makes you thing they can find one of us. ?
  3. not to worry, the tractor trailer with the costco super extra large roll is almost there.......it got tied up at the virginia border. something about improper permits. so they detoured it through new mexico.
  4. not sure if that was the Brooklyn warehouse fire where 6 firefighters were killed around 1978 or the Staten Island Black Saturday fire.
  5. my thoughts on that story? i have been saying all along it was the government. and seeing how most sightings were near military installations it all make perfect sense. i figured they were doing the drills at night to keep people from seeing exactly what they were seeing.
  6. nope. only one made as you dont mess with perfection!!
  7. yup. on the old B815 i ran they were the indicator lights to let you know the directional was on.

  9. it may have been an oddball design, but it was used over 2200 times during it's 17 years of service and. it worked just as planned delivering between 5,500 and 10,000 gallons per minute. during the "black saturday" fires in 1963 on Staten Island it supplied water to fight the fires as the water lines went dry causing no water for firefighting. the super pumper was used to pump out of the bay and deliver much needed water to the firefighters.
  10. Abe Lincoln posted a study on the internet before he was shot on Hitler, where he proved Hitler was a fictional character dreamed up by Sherlock Holmes..
  11. it is one of the few memories of my childhood Bob. on the same trip we had a bear in the campsite in upstate NY. mom freaked out and made us all sleep in the car instead of the tent. then went to the town dump (which was about a mile away on the farm) and my cousin gave me a 22 where we spent a few hours shooting rats. also went fishing in the farm pond and was introduced to perch. the father was province mayor, and he was also the largest cattle farm owner in the province. also owned the cheese factory, and milk processing plant. and i have never been back. don't even know if any of them are still alive.
  12. 1965 for me and end of july beginning of august, we were on our way to Quebec to take my great aunt to see family as she did not drive. in the family station wagon. 65 galaxy wagon with 390/4 barrel and auto trans. just barely made it to the top. we were up there just long enough to see it was not a wise idea to hang around as a storm was blowing in. we actually saw it coming at us. so dad decided time to go. about quarter way down the mountain it hit. by halfway, visibility was almost zero and snow covered everything. about three quarters down the car started sliding. only time i ever saw my father scared. we made it, and the next day he vowed we would never climb a mountain in a car ever again...... and he kept his word!!
  13. all three of my sisters worked for Blonder Tongue Labs. older sister was accounts purchasing for 32 years.. little sister was executive secretary for 28 years, and baby sister was in the product design lab for 8 years before getting married and leaving to run the new husbands construction company office. the lab is still there, 8 miles from my house.
  14. they can be very fast Joey. the old yard had a railroad freight line next to it... i mean 50 foot from the building next to it. a few years ago i was outside washing the truck when i heard a buzzing noise behind me. as it got louder i was trying to figure out what it was, then around 100 foot above came a drone the size of a large car doing at least 60 mph. that was when i realized the railroad used drones for track inspection.
  15. 7:30 last night two very large helicopters and 20 drones assembled above the 11 acre "big truck" yard. boss was freaking out. i told him to point the laser range finder at them, but he was chicken, afraid they would shoot back.
  16. Bob, the "super pumper" went to a private collector LA after it was sold, so it is very possible you DID see it.
  17. Awful lot of dust back there!!4
  18. Just looked and the price has gone down quite a bit. $30 for 8 foot length. https://www.easternmarine.com/fleet-engineers-spray-suppression-032-00340
  19. I looked into them about 10 years ago for my dump trucks. VERY EXPENSIVE back then. If I remember correctly it would have been close to $2,000 per truck as I needed 35 foot per truck just for the back
  20. yup, parking brake on indicator light. the dash tends to overheat and fall apart from bulb produced heat, and the light falls out.
  21. not positive, but i am pretty sure that is used for mixing small batches of concrete for custom homemade patio blocks.
  22. that looks like something Paul from Queensland would advertise for sale..... on second thought, he would probably mount it on top of a mates house without telling him. 🤣
  23. i agree with Steve. first part is the engine RPM regulator or governor. second part is a hydraulic power brake booster.
  24. Bob, for me that was 55 years ago. we stopped using coal and firewood around 1970 and went to oil, as the firewood was household income when sold. we were getting $25-$30 for a cord of wood. and burning between 7 and 8 cord a year. compared to under $1 per gallon for home heating oil, where a 500 gallon tank would last close to 2 years running straight on oil.
