no it did not. motion detector alarm went off when he went through the roof. fire dept found pieces of him on roof, and then through the pallet racks down to the floor.

yes sir.

never bungee jumped, but i did make 4 of 5 parachute jumps. on the 4th jump the instructor/pro that packed all the chutes had a non open on both mane and backup chutes.......and free fell into a warehouse. and at that moment i heard my grandfather telling me only fools jump out of perfectly good airplanes....... when i landed, i picked up my chute, handed it in , and drove home. still have that 5th jump ticket, rite next to the Harry Chapin concert ticker for the day after he was killed on the L.I.E.

i have a skunk living in my back yard somewhere that reigns supreme here. no dogs, cats or squirrels are allowed in the yard. and if the do try he lets them know REAL FAST who is the boss. he has only sprayed twice in the 4 years he has been here.

last year i fired up the 02 F350 diesel plow truck for it's monthly run. looked out about 5 minutes later to see a red lake under the front of the truck running to the road. DANG IT!!! trans line to cooler sprung a leak. replaced both lines to cooler, filled trans, fired truck up, only to see more red blood leaking!! this time powerboost lines from steering cooler to pump, and pump to brake master. got all four lines new, put them on the front seat, and they are still sitting there! -
I hate when that happens!!

when i do rad repairs like that i first clean the tubes to be soldered REAL GOOD. then crimp the tube off. lastly apply a good dose of flux, then finally solder it. -
Here is a picture of the oil level in a side mount tank. As you can see, it is about. 5 inches below top of tank

regular hydraulic oil is all we use. but on pistons with a leaking packing gland like the dump trailer, i will add a few gallons of 10-40 engine oil. the engine oil tends to slow down the leaking. but it is no good in winter unless the oil is warmed up before trying to lift the body.

with full piston extension you should still have 2-3 gallons in the tank. but it is not measured at full extension, it is measured full piston collapse. all the way down i like to keep the tank about 4-5 inches from the top.

even with the body down i can easily see the oil level tube on my new truck..... once they get older it is kind of hard to see oil level in the tube though. the 2005 had a door in the top of the piston housing to access the air bleeder valve on top of the piston, and also to access the tank fill. that was on a J&J body.

depending on the manufacturer of the body, but for a tank on frame between cab and body there should be a plastic or glass tube on front of the tank. but basically put, if the piston goes all the way up without chatter there is enough oil in the tank. if you put too much in the tank, it will blow out the vent when body is lowered all the way down. when i add oil to a low system, i add one gallon at a time until piston chatter goes away and body goes all the way up. then add 1 more gallon.
